PLEASE NOTE: Due to non-wikipedia related issues with the name Bigdoglover (used elsewhere by someone very different!) I've elected to switch to the username Fitzhugh. This is in no way intended as sockpuppetry, and I will use only one username at a time, which will be Fitzhugh. I will probably not check back here, so any communication should be posted on that talk page instead. --Bigdoglover 18:21, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good edits; still need a section on breeding and a NPOV section on temperment. I'll get on it as soon as I can; on vacation.Daemon8666 23:27, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - yeah there is a lot that could help this article. As I recall I ran into a time crunch and felt I should leave it as a significantly unfinished edit rather than risk making mistakes... of course all entries are works in progress, but this has a substantial need for more/better info. I'm also not by any means an expert on the topic, just wanted to nudge it in the right direction. Stopped and spoke with a homeless man as he walked with his shopping cart and his wolfdog just this morning, by chance! Wonderful animal, though rather different than I would expect a dog to be in those circumstances - and sadly the man just kept talking about what great protection the dog offers, how strong and dangerous and what a killer instinct. Due to their circumstances and behavior I suspect he is mentally ill, and luckily the animal was actually quite mellow, but it is my understanding that many people who get them do so because they want an ultra-macho animal, which these are anything but (from what I have read). I stopped because I saw the dog had on socks (!!) and wanted to see if his feet were injured - if so I had some dog boots I am not currently using (found the original long lost pair), but turns out he just liked putting socks on his dog. Go figure. Bigdoglover 06:55, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
