Orphaned non-free image File:Spider-Man (2002 film) teaser poster.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Spider-Man (2002 film) teaser poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 06:59, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi Bignole. If you take a look at WP:INTDABLINK, you'll see we want to link via the redirect. By linking to the (disambiguation) redirect, we mark the link as "intentional", that is, a link that should go to the disambiguation page. (Seems to me there should be a Buffy the Vampire Slayer (franchise) article, but there isn't, so the correct link is to the disambiguation page.) This is an established policy; if you don't like it, leave a note at WP:DPL or Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation; otherwise, could we please not edit war over this? --JaGatalk 03:54, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

It isn't just for the reader. It's also for the project. We track disambiguation links that need fixing, and doing this marks the link as "doesn't need fixing". So it helps the project out, and doesn't harm the article. --JaGatalk 05:02, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Have you read WP:INTDABLINK? --JaGatalk 05:06, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the uncivil message. I know this is not intuitive, but there is a logic to it. At the WP:DPL, we track articles that link to disambiguation pages. Buffy Summers links to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This needs to be fixed. I looked at the article, and the two links I have been attempting to fix should go to the disambiguation page, so I invoke WP:INTDABLINK and use the Buffy the Vampire Slayer (disambiguation) redirect. If I don't do that, Buffy Summers continues to show up in our reports as "needing fixing". --JaGatalk 05:28, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey. You had weighed in at the first FAC for South Park (season 13), which got hung up largely because of the image. Now there is a second FAC discussion ongoing, where once again the image is dominating the conversation. At the FA delegate's suggestion, I am asking everyone who participated in the first FAC to weigh in once again, if it's not too much trouble, but please comment on the full set of FA criteria rather than just the image fair use rationale, so we can work toward a consensus on the overall FAC. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 17:47, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Merry Christmas!

Re: Into Temptation

Hey Bignole. No worries, whatsoever. I'm sure Into Temptation is bound for FA sooner or later, even if it wasn't this time around. And I understand that everyone's been busy with the holidays. If you get a chance to take a look at it in advance of the next FAC, as you mentioned, then that would be great. Either way, I'll let you know when I'm ready to bring it to FAC again down the road. — Hunter Kahn 04:15, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
