Welcome to Wikipedia, please use British English when editing British articles. RegardspalmipedTalk 10:33, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry! I'll try! I grew up all over so my English can be a little scrambled :-/ But the travels compensate in other ways :-) BillyGoatsGruff2020 (talk) 08:29, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome Billy!

[edit]

Just wanted to say howdy! I also loved Toy Story (all of them) and have wanted to visit Pompeii since childhood. I was going to a science communication conference in Rome in a couple weeks, and planned to go to Naples to hang out with the skeptics there and then spend the day in Pompeii. And then everything cancelled yesterday because of Cov-19. Bummer. But saw your post on Project Skepticism and wanted to reach out and say hello. Let me know if you need anything as I see you are newish here on WP. Sgerbic (talk) 17:32, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Pompeii was amazing. Italy is amazing. One city I love that most people don't think of, is Genoa. It's near Cinqua Terra, which lots of people do think of. Which is funny because Genoa is big and Cinqua Terra is tiny. It's terrible how this virus is paralyzing so much of what we'd taken for granted. I hope we see a vaccine soon - and that people use it! I'm working on the reception section for The Goop Lab. Right now, it's just quotes from negative reviews. I'm trying to shape it into something with a more neutral tone, so that the criticism - well-warrented - has a more authoritative and matter-of-fact feel. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Goop Lab, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Goop (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hi BillyGoatsGruff2020! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Earl Thomas that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Sorry about that. Thank you for telling me.BillyGoatsGruff2020 (talk) 12:15, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The issue is that the opening sentence is hard to read for those of us not well-versed in American football. "American football free safety" is quite a compound noun. Is he an American, or does he play American football, or both? Or, since I know there was all that concern about TBI, have Americans invented a new kind of safety and comfort that involves being football-free? I don't feel compelled to be involved with this entry, just wanted to iron out the ambiguity. Do what you'd like. Cheers :-) BillyGoatsGruff2020 (talk) 12:15, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
