October 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm DMK-C5. An edit that you recently made to Hawking radiation seemed to be a test and has been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! DMK-C5 (talk) 15:14, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please use an article talk page to ask questions or make comments about the article content rather than adding disruptive commentary or questions to an article. --Vsmith (talk) 13:28, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Editing together[edit]

New editors such as you are welcome to Wikipedia. However, it may be a little frustrating at first as you find what the general expected editing style is. You can use the guidance of other editors when your edits get changed or reverted to learn what an encyclopedia is intended to be (see Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle). Where you are finding that your preferred edits conflict with those of others, you can start a thread on the talk page to discuss views on what the article content should be.

With your edit and its edit comment, you have not provided a sensible reason for your change, nor stated why you disagree with my prior edit. I have explained each change that I have made. You seem to be saying "Please just leave me in peace to make any changes that I want", but that does not work without dialogue, since there are editors who are severely problematic who we can't allow to do what they want. If you discuss contested changes, hopefully you will find many friendly editors with perspectives that you can learn from, and which will help you to learn how to work with other editors. Working collaboratively can be rewarding. —Quondum 16:28, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
