Hi there, I just wanted to point out that currently when you're signing comments on talk pages (~~~~) the link to your talk page is broken; it links to [[User talk:BioDetective]] rather than [[User talk:BioDetective2508]]. Just wanted to point that out, thanks! -- Atamachat 00:22, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for your support in WP:Articles for deletion/Lisa Niemi. They simply have is wrong. She passes notability criteria in WP:ENT. I tagged the article for rescue (which feels weird because I'm normally one of the ones arguing the deletion side of things). Niteshift36 (talk) 15:36, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Even though you figured out your own answer, my opinion is no, articles shouldn't be started just because a red link exists. Some people link potential articles, hoping someone else will decide to write it. If the article has no chance in hell of being written, I usually delink them while editing the article for other reasons. Niteshift36 (talk) 04:56, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

in addressing your concerns...

[edit]

When you first opined at the AfD, the article looked like this. In addressing your concerns toward 3rd party reliable souces and showing the recognition for his film works (to heck with the unknown actors), I was able to bring it to THIS state. Is there anything more I might do? Thanks, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 08:08, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Nicely done! I think your contribution to his page was tremendeous... I'm still on the fence about keeping and deleting. Though he has won accolades and it does support the guidelines, all other acknowledgements are slightly inflating his notability. I think a mention of the other attributes are enough because he did not necessarily receive substantial coverage on them via second and third party sources. I could be completely wrong! I will definitely go back to the article of deletion and alter my stance. I do however think the other articles should be redirected to his personal article. Thank you for your excellent contribution and for making me aware of it! On a side note, I've enjoyed reading all your contributions that have crossed my path. Great minds thinking alike....

[edit]

I noticed that you have just completed an article on Alan Mruvka, hopefully based upon my notes on the talk page of The Legend of Gator Face. And you may have then noticed the I began answering my own sugestions by having finished a new article for his former partner Marilyn Vance. You have to appreciate my chuckle of surprise when I was about to go live with User:MichaelQSchmidt/sandbox/Alan Mruvka and found you beat me to it (grin) by a couple days. I'd like to use the one I wrote to expand yours, but did not want to have this seem to be presumptuous. What say you? You get credit as author and I get credit as 5x expander for a DYK? MichaelQSchmidt (talk) 06:31, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My sandbox is now empty. I had some time this morning and went ahead and added my informations to the article. You might check me for typos, but I think its pretty darn good. MichaelQSchmidt (talk) 20:33, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've nominated Alan Mruvka, an article you worked on, for consideration to appear on the Main Page as part of Wikipedia:Did you know. You can see the hook for the article here, where you can improve it if you see fit. MichaelQSchmidt (talk) 20:57, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Alan Mruvka

[edit]
Updated DYK query On July 6, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Alan Mruvka, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.
