Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Bkosewic, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Quotes

[edit]

Hi! I noticed that you had added quotes to the article Living My Life. There was already a section there, but I ended up having to remove them since they had set off a copyright/plagiarism alert. Wikipedia doesn't really do quotes sections anymore, mostly because WikiQuote started picking up steam. (It's a project where they post quotes from people and books, from what I've seen about it.) In any case, nowadays they usually just do quotes in the synopsis section. Those are mostly important quotes needed to describe the book - there's been more of a push to post things to WikiQuote.

You didn't do anything wrong, it's just that Wikipedia doesn't do separate quotes sections anymore. I just wanted to let you know why I removed it. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:24, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
