Welcome![edit]

Hello, Blackce2, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

moving your sandbox[edit]

I have nominated your sandbox for deletion so that content can be moved back where it was. Your subject is not itself notable. Please read WP:SPINOUT. That content should have been added to the extant article. You should also have discussed the matter on that article's talk page. Chris Troutman (talk) 14:35, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Page merging[edit]

Hi! I wanted to help you out with the page merge process and explain why your page was moved back. Essentially, your page was moved back to your sandbox because there was already an article on Hazel Dickens Carter at simply Hazel Dickens. (Offhand it looks like Elysia (Wiki Ed) is in charge of your class, but I can help you out as well!)

Now as far as page merging goes, what you will need to do is determine what is in your article that is not in the existing article. So far it looks like your content was copied from the existing article, so what you need to do here is look and see what the existing page lacks that could be added. The most visible thing I see is that information on her early life and education is pretty much nonexistent. This book would likely be an excellent resource for content about her early life, as well as content about her life as a whole. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:05, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
