M4/M16[edit]

I have to thank you for all your edits and searches regarding the M4/M16 issue where you try to improve the article as much as possible ..thanks again--Blain Toddi (talk) 19:25, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whenever I see situations where people seem to be at odds over something, I often try to present a middle road approach in an effort to find consensus and work it out, especially after people have taken positions that make it hard to see what the other side is saying or they are pushed to a spot where they feel they can't compromise. It's something a person can develop in their habits over time as they edit here, as you can see it's a place where misunderstandings happen easily.
No one else has posted opposition to the newer proposed M16/M4 edit so it will probably carry, but we need to give the other folks a little more time. If you want, you might want to ask Max Mayr whether he supports or opposes it, to add more comments. Eventually, if there is no opposition, I will post a note and incorporate the edit officially, while if there is opposition it will be addressed, reasoned, and worked out. --AzureCitizen (talk) 15:14, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gladiator[edit]

Hello, you may be right regarding the plot, as I've not seen it in a while. However, you cannot change information with a source as regards to the historical section. Maximus' inspirations are already named, and your change was an unsourced, possibly personal, opinion. Alientraveller (talk) 17:27, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ok .. thank you ...I hope you change the plot regarding the History section I hope you read the article in wikipedia regarding the Marcomannic wars and change the history section accordingly.

Marcus Valerius Maximianus[edit]

I'll gladly let you have what I have on this person, who certainly deserves an article to himself, but it'll take time - I'll have to look out various citations in Syme's Roman Papers and elsewhere. Cenedi (talk) 15:46, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you in advance --Blain Toddi (talk) 15:49, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I found I had a complete English text of the main inscription detailing his career, so I've created an entry Marcus Valerius Maximianus. It has in it everything I know! Thanks for reminding me that he needed an entry of his own, something I'd vaguely thought of doing a couple of times in the past. Feel free to improve it! Arabic in Gladiator[edit]

He, thanks man! :D Mallerd (talk) 00:21, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Amazigh and Mauri didn't speak Arabic did they? I assume it still isn't their main language today. Perhaps a mention in the article? Mallerd (talk) 09:30, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tiberius Claudius Maximus[edit]

I've done what I could! Cenedi (talk) 19:57, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
