Please note citation styles in articles[edit]

Hello, Blairebeavers25.

Recognizing that you may not have noticed that I left a message for you at the talk page of Patricia Bath (Talk:Patricia Bath), I'm stopping by to repeat it here and to ask you to please use proper citation styles for the article you've selected or been assigned to work on.

One challenge in working on this article is that the reference system it uses is a little more complex than other articles. It uses short citations instead of the common Wikipedia form of full citation in each footnote. It's not really a difficult system to use, but the automatic referencing you find, for instance, with the VisualEditor doesn't automatically lend itself to this style. I'm sure you're familiar with the style from classes, as it is a common academic style.

Please make sure you use proper citation style for the article going forward, and if you can, please fix the improper citations you've added.

If you have any problems using the footnote system or anything else, please feel free to drop me a note at my talk page or at talk:Patricia Bath. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:31, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
