Your contribution at Folklore

[edit]

Hi, I removed the text you added to Folklore because it was a very long and detailed treatment of the culture of one ethnic group in one country occupying a lot of space in a very general article on folklore. I would say that some of the material would be more appropriate in an article specifically about Mexican-American folklore, but someone has gone and created that article with what appears to be the same content, at Folklore of Mexican Americans. Hi Blugo3. I moved your article to its own page, it deserves its own topic. Several flags have been put on the new article. Don't get discouraged, your topic is important. If you look at other topics about Folklore of other regions, then you can see how to correct the flags. Thank you very much for your contribution to wikipedia, it's important. It also took me a few tries to learn the style that works effectively for a page. Thanks again, Smithriedel 13:55, 8 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi @Blugo3: There has been some collaborative editing taking place on the article created from your work, Folklore of Mexican Americans. There are some issues that you can help address, though. One pervasive issue is the lack of citations. Generally, every sentence added to Wikipedia must be cited. If consecutive sentences come from the same source, then the citation can go at the end of the consecutive sentences. Therefore, no paragraph or section should end without a citation. I've added some citation needed tags to the article. Once you've added references to reliable sources, you can remove the tags. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:58, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
