Thanks-I am getting used to what seems to be the Wikipedia command language. It reminds of me of a markup language I learned once and forgot. See your around.--Bo Basil 07:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings!

There is nothing wrong with pages hosted on geocities. What's your sanctimonious reason for taking upon yourself the crusade of removing these pages? Bo Basil 19:08, 22 January 2007 (UTC)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bo Basil (talkcontribs) 19:07, 22 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. DLX 18:39, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the links in question were to articles that did not depend on search engine rankings. Please cut out the presumpteous vigilanteism. I guess having the power to block makes you infinitely right. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bo Basil (talkcontribs).
The links still go against everything else mentioned in the warnings above, however. The Search Engine Optimisation message is just part of a template that aims to remind those that might be inserting links for that reason. Also, I personally do not have the power to block, but if you continue to violate Wikipedia guidelines (the ones linked in the posts above), then an admin may do. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on my talk page. --Dreaded Walrus t c 19:04, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Aldrich Ames, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eyes Only (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
