Thank you for uploading File:Eleanor Cobham Engraving.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Armbrust WrestleMania XXVII Undertaker 19–0 00:08, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Feces, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Vera Hockman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Vera Hockman

[edit]

I'm delighted that you have raised this issue again after such a long lapse of time. The reply I received, which you will have seen, was plain arrogance and I am not in the business of breaching stone walls single-handed.

I do however have some responses to make to Tim Riley etc and will try and get them together over the next day or two. They will be in the form of quotes from the TV programme - I guess you saw the retransmission over the weekend. I took quite a lot of notes after the previous transmission.

You seem to be in difficulty in regard to Wikipedia procedures and protocols and I may be able to help you on that. Are you completely new? I have been editing for some time but am not very active and have no intention of becoming an expert, but I do know my way around a little bit.

If you want to get back to me, leave a message here on your own talk page.

Regards Flying Stag (talk) 11:27, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. No, I'm not completely new, but yes, I do have some difficulties sometimes - WP can be a tad complicated. I tried to create a new page for Vera, but in the wrong place and now it seems I have contravened some law by trying to move it into user space. Maybe I should just start again.
There does seem to be sourceable material from this TV program and also a book, Elgar in Love, written by Kevin Allen, although I don't have access to this book. I'm sure someone must be able to give a detailed reference.
The documentary is available on IPlayer at the moment if you are in UK.Boatgypsy (talk) 22:50, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Richard Harrison (scientist), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page West Midlands (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Boatgypsy, Saw your post at UKC and thought I'd have a look. Thanks for the article, much needed. Hope you don't mind the number of changes I've made to it. It would be good if you could ask Jon to let you upload one of his pics. Regards, Ericoides (talk) 21:10, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Jimmy Jewell (climber) (January 23)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time.
Please read the comments left by the reviewer on your submission. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Hi, just a note to explain this is about the copy that was awaiting review, this is not about the version you placed directly into wikipedia. I declined it because there was already a version of this article in wikipedia, and WP:AfC doesn't play a part in approving stuff that has already made it. Hello! Boatgypsy, I noticed your article was declined at Articles for Creation, and that can be disappointing. If you are wondering or curious about why your article submission was declined please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gweirca ferch Owain requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Poulton Chapel, from its old location at User:Boatgypsy/Poulton Chapel. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. » Shadowowl | talk 15:04, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Kynaston

[edit]

Hello, Boatgypsy. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Kynaston".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 09:49, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
