Hot sauce[edit]

Oooh, thanks for the great work on hot sauce! Much improved. – Quadell (talk) (sleuth) 16:36, July 15, 2005 (UTC)

Overlinking[edit]

You're way overlinking articles -- that's why I reverted your changes to poop. Overlinking makes articles hard to read, and linking words like via is simply unnecessary. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 19:15, 16 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Fair 'nuff - poop gets vandalized a half dozen times a day, it seems, and it seemed to me like a vandalistic edit I'd seen before (linking every possible word in an article). Sorry if I acted hastily --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 21:10, 16 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Harley-Davidson not Harley Davidson[edit]

Thanks. Wikipedia is always about learning. Maybe someone can make a bot to fix these too http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Whatlinkshere&target=Harley_Davidson

Hello, Boinger. The reason I haven't blocked anyone yet is that he hasn't been warned on his talk page yet. Please attempt to communicate with him on there; if he continues, please let me know. Thanks! Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 19:00, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your terms for Canada are extremely perjorative. Most of these terms of rarely used and most are not even recognized by citizens around the world, let along Canadians. Please remove these terms immediately. They are offensive, pathetic, baseless, uncorroborated, mendacious and fallacious. I am in no mood to get into be banned over such stupidity. Thank you very much. Canadia

They are absolutely offensive. 'Offensive' is right in the title. I did my research, and I can corroborate every entry listed. I have to politely decline to delete the entries, they are used terms (however regionally or rarely) and, thusly, should be included in Wikipedia.

You say that you did your "research." Show it to me.

Thanks for sorting the Aphex Twin bits and bobs out.

Woodworking wikiproject[edit]

Hello, I have noticed that you have recently been making a number of valuable edits on woodworking-related pages. I would like to start a Wikiproject on woodworking if there is enough interest. Please reply on my user talk page if you think this is a good idea (oer even if you don't. I have taken a stab at a starting a wikiproject page in a sandbox page at User:Luigizanasi/sandbox. Feel free to edit it and to add your ideas. As soon as we have enough participants, I will start the project page at Wikipedia:Wikiproject Woodworking. This message has also been sent to User:Carders User:SilentC User:RJP.Luigizanasi 20:46, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have started the Wikipedia:WikiProject Woodworking page. Please feel free to edit it in any way. There is also a discussion page where we can have general discussions (I think discussions about individual articles are OK in their respective talk pages).Luigizanasi 04:56, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

World Citizen userbox, {{User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}}[edit]

Hi, I noticed the message saying you're a World Citizen, I would like to invite you to add {{User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}} to your user page if you wish to proclaim it in a more effective way, and this template will also add you automatically to the Wikipedians with World Citizenship category. :) --Mistress Selina Kyle 00:08, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Trixies[edit]

Frankly, I don't have the energy now to make Lincoln Park Trixie Society into a decent article. But perhaps you have the interest and the energy since you created it in the first place. Good luck! Crypticfirefly 03:18, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. May I ask why you also reverted my minor edits? I hadn't contributed to the Poe stuff (and I am not aware of the particular topic), but, if you look at what was done previously, you'll see it was justified: "1867: William Bullock was accidentally killed by his own invention, the web rotary press" - instead of "1867: William Bullock (inventor), accidentally killed by his own invention, the web rotary press". (The initial version went against wiki policies, and it was also non-specific; I don't think the link was superfluous, since it indicated the "instrument" causing his death). Please put this back, and (if you feel like it) circumvent the whole Poe thing. Dahn 16:08, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Save "List of school pranks" From Deletion[edit]

Hi, the article List of school pranks has been targeted by the Wikipedia Thought Police™. Please help preserve this marvellous testament to human inventiveness—and cruelty—from certain extinction by voting Keep at the article's deletion page if you haven't already done so. Regarding your Erik Buell page: are you really that much of an Angry Little Man?[edit]

Regarding your Erik Buell page: are you really that much of an Angry Little Man? It was a legitimate criticism of an article. I know nothing about the man myself, but nonetheless I know he's a human. Amazing how personally you took it!

Actually, I wasn't angry at all. I was incredulous that you would bother to write commentary in the Talk page instead of just contributing to the article. Though, based on your contribution history, I shouldn't be surprised that you spend more time bitching about something than actually helping to fix it.boinger 14:17, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

wikEd[edit]

Hi, I have seen that you are using the Cacycle editor extension. This program is no longer actively maintained in favor of its much more powerful successor wikEd.

wikEd has all the functionality of the old editor plus:• syntax highlighting • nifty image buttons • morefixing buttons • paste formatted text from Word or web pages• convert the formatted text into wikicode • adjustthe font size • and much, much more.

Switching to wikEd is easy, check the detailed installation description on its project homepage. Usually it is as simple as changing every occurrence of editor.js into wikEd.js on your User:YourUsername/monobook.js page.

Image:DeWalt circular saw.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DeWalt circular saw.jpeg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -SCEhardT 01:59, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 23:01, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Earthen Grave requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 22:31, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
