Helping at Freemasonry

I got your message. New editors are always welcome. My advice... start off slow with a few simple spelling corrections etc. Participate in the talk page to get a sense of where things stand and what the current concensus is. If you go to your user page (click on the tab), there are some links there that you can follow to get to various pages on Wikipedia policies, Wikipedia usage, and other useful information. All the articles will still be there by the time you're done reading those, and it is far better to do things correctly than to let your enthusiasm get the best of you and make mistakes that are harder to correct. deletions and reverts at Freemasonry

Bolognaking, I got your message re: my edit summary on reverting your deleting a line at Freemasonry... my concern here is primarily to maintain a firm hand on how major edits are conducted on the various Freemasonry pages... they should be discussed first. Any edit involving a citation is a major edit... so I reverted and added my comment just so you would know I think it should be discussed first. In reference to the specific edit, I admit to a little bit of knee-jerk conservatism. I did not fully look at what you were editing as much as that you were editing a citation. Reflecting on it, I do not remember why that particular line is part of the citation, and you are probably OK in deleting it... but as this is a highly controvercial section, I want everyone to be awair of edits to any citation... so my revert is also a way of highlighting your edit for others in case they want to comment. Here is my general advice... go ahead and be bold. Make any edit you wish. But be prepared for such edits to be reverted when someone wants you to slow down or to discuss what you are doing. When they do, post something about why you want the edit on the talk page. Given your record so far, you should find others agreeing with you once they understand your logic. Remember, it is better to go slow - make a few edits and pause to see how people react... then continue with a few more and pause again. Rince. Repeat. (as the shampoo bottle says). Ancient vs. Antient

I have created and expanded an article titled "Ancient Grand Lodge of England," as opposed to the previously existing article "Antient Grand Lodge of England," with the incorrect spelling of the name "Ancient."
