I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. A tag has been placed on Jeff Ladouceur, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —68.239.79.82 06:13, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning: Jeff Ladouceur lacks WP:A to establish WP:BIO

[edit]

Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to establish notability ... without them, Jeff Ladouceur is just original research, which is prohibited by official policy.

Please read the Wikipedia official policies and guidelines that list the criteria for Notability (people) (WP:BIO) and Biographies of living persons (WP:BLP) for further information ... if you have written this article about yourself or a close relative, then you also need to read both Autobiography (WP:AUTO) and Conflict of interest (WP:COI).

As a litmus test of WP:A for a biographical article, there should be enough WP:RS publications about the subject that the first paragraph answers the questions "When and where was he born?", e.g.,

John Quincy Public (1963-11-23 to 2001-09-11) was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He is notable for coincidentally having been born on the same day as the John F. Kennedy assassination, and having died on the day of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Just in case your article has already been deleted, please see What to do after your speedy delete has been restored to better understand what's probably going to happen.

Happy Editing! —68.239.79.82 (talk · contribs) 06:13, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
