West Wycombe Park Polo Club[edit]

Sir, You have marked this page as being written like an advert. I modelled it on the pages for Ham Polo club and Guards Polo Club ??????? Point me in the direction of a more suitable model and I'll happily change it.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ackmaddinerjad (talkcontribs)

I've cleaned out the marketing already. Borkificator (talk) 11:11, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: 21st Century Humans And Their Humanity[edit]

Hello Borkificator. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on 21st Century Humans And Their Humanity to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question - it's not really about a person, or an organization. With this sort of rambling OR essay there's nothing for it but PROD. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion Verax NMS and Verax APINI[edit]

I wish to contribute to wiki's Software Comparison lists such as Comparison of network monitoring systems or Comparison of project management software which I consider to be very helpful. As a reason I create additional articles about software which I'm adding to those lists. I would like to ask you if you could give me some guidelines/feedback how to create them to be informative and not "offensive". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timeport101 (talkcontribs) 11:24, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There's nothing offensive in anything you've created so far, but the products listed don't yet assert what's WP:NOTABLE about them. Can you find any WP:Secondary coverage from WP:Reliable sources, to indicate their notability? Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 11:26, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for answering so fast. I'll try to provide reliable sources. Is it possible to hold deletion procedures and switch article's header to Unreferenced/Primarysource until I provide those references? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timeport101 (talkcontribs) 12:18, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WP:AFD discussions normally go on for seven days, but if the discussion seems to be veering towards deletion, you could always copy what you've got to a user WP:Subpage, and take as much time as you need working on the draft. Please let me know if you need help with this. Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 12:33, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you for this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timeport101 (talkcontribs) 14:44, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GeekPlanetOnline[edit]

Dear Borkificator

I'm sorry if I may have overstepped any Wikipedia rules. I am a member of GeekPlanetOnline and as such was asked to do a Wikipedia page for the site. I drafted the page many times and tried to boil it down to the facts without trying to sell it. I see now that perhaps my username wasn't the best one to pick but I ran out of quite a few options. I did base my piece on other website articles I've seen here. Please let me know what I can do to rectify matters and if indeed I can put a page up about the website. The latest message seems to indicate we may not even be suitable.

Thank you

GeekMartin (talk) 15:44, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:WEB offers more information on notability for websites. Can you find any coverage of the site from WP:Secondary, WP:Reliable sources? Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 15:48, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looking through those sites I can't find coverage. We haven't had any awards or press coverage although some of our writers have had articles published I don't think the site has been referenced. We have had a couple of references in Wikipedia itself though, I came upon them when I initially put the name into the system. It looks like this may be it then. Let me know if theres anything else I can do.

copyvio tagging[edit]

I see you've been busy identifying CSD candidates. In fact, so busy, I thought for a moment you were a bot.

When you identify a copyvio, there should be a place to identify the source of the copied material. Whenever I delete a G12, I like to look at the source, as more than once I've found issues that require additional steps, or declination. I realize you identified more tan one reason, but a G!@ is much more clear cut than an A7, so I prefer to use that option if it applies, plus, it is doesn't I like to modify the notice so they aren't unfairly accused. Could you make sure to add the source (or let me know if multiple taggings doesn't have that option?)

(I'm referring to Kombate)

Thanks for the work you are doing--SPhilbrickT 18:46, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're very welcome. And type(Borkificator).__name__ != 'Bot'.
You're right, next time I will add the copyvio link to the edit summary since, as you guessed, db-multiple doesn't have the copyvio option. Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 18:57, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Holography Ltd.[edit]

Hello Borkificator. Can you help me whith Holography Ltd. article? What I must to change there?--Juveline85 (talk) 15:56, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Have a read of WP:PEACOCK and WP:NPOV for more info on how to avoid writing an article that sounds like advertising. At the moment it's quite WP:Promotional, and needs a very thorough clear-out to avoid deletion. Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 16:09, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing has changed. Borkificator (talk) 14:20, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

I saw your username on UAA and I just wanted to say, it rocks. It reminds me of something that happened to me in my last job as a computer technician- I was helping some lady use MS office and someone else comes up to me and tells me the phones are down in the whole building. I ran back to my boss and said, "the phone server, she's borked!" and then he stormed out of the office saying "borked, borked, borked!" Yeah, that's my story. Anyway, your username is awesome, so have some cookiez.

Why thank you. It fits me in so many ways. Your field report of spontaneous Swedishness is intriguing, and I'm certain that there's some serious government grant money to be had in studying that. Borkificator (talk) 09:06, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What's anything Swedish about that? [clarification needed] --M96hardh (talk) 12:27, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nancy Hayssen[edit]

I had to vote for delete for the above named article because there were hardly any citations at all. I don't get involved in notability debates as I am an inclusionist.  Eric Cable  |  Talk  16:20, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That makes sense. Another reference has been added by the article's creator, but it's a press release from PRweb. References from WP:RS could probably be found for the television interview, but for me the primary grounds for deletion is still notability per WP:ONEEVENT. The rest of the article is pure WP:Vanispamcruftisement, even after I cleaned out the worst of the marketing prose. Borkificator (talk) 11:35, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete sentence from article on Georgine Leeka?[edit]

Georgine Leeka Jones is indeed still beautiful in body and spirit in 2011. She is a long-time friend of my wife and me. Please don't delete a truthful and meaningful sentence from the article.

Dfwlms (talk) 16:34, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that information in Wikipedia has to be written with a WP:Neutral point of view, and subjective assertions about a person's beauty are more appropriate for being written in a magazine, rather than an encyclopedia. Please also have a read of WP:Conflict of interest: if you are directly connected with the subject of the article, you'll find it extremely difficult to write objectively about her. Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 16:40, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I Stand Corrected on All Counts[edit]

Thanks for your explanation justifying your deletion of a subjective comment of mine about Georgine Leeka. I understand and, after reflection, agree completely with your deletion of the subjective comment. What amazes me is that you found the comment so quickly (both times). Dfwlms (talk) 17:16, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. Welcome, and happy editing! Borkificator (talk) 17:17, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Battle records[edit]

Did you find the Battle records article which explains the naming of the Battle Records (record label) article? Steelbeard1 (talk) 17:13, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but only after mistakenly moving Battle Records (record label) to Battle Records. I then immediately reverted the error: sorry 'bout that. Borkificator (talk) 17:15, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I created a disambig page for Battle Records. Steelbeard1 (talk) 17:26, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Aha, got it. Good idea. Borkificator (talk) 17:32, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

February 2011[edit]

Hi Borkificator. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I just wanted to inform you that I declined to delete HAUNTED 3d, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion because of the following concern: the criterion you used does not cover this kind of page or the reason you specified is not a valid reason for speedy deletion. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion and especially what is considered non-criteria. In future you should rather tag such pages for proposed deletion or start an appropriate deletion discussion. Films are generally immune to CSD. UtherSRG (talk) 12:16, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that Haunted 3D has already been speedied 4 times with exactly the same content, and is now salted. HAUNTED 3D is a variant capitalization to get around the creation-protection. Both are also a content fork of Haunted (2011 film). Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 12:22, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. Noted. Thanks. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:28, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cheese template[edit]

Hi, I'm sorry if I have inadvertently disorganised something in the cheese template department. I can't quite understand your explantion but I sure am going to do some work to put that right. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Best to you Richard Avery (talk) 20:53, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No worries! Thanks for your quick reply. Borkificator (talk) 09:01, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rubicon research[edit]

hi,

why are you requesting for a speedy deletion of Rubicon Research page? There is a valid reference to the content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.181.112.177 (talk) 11:13, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As noted on the article, it's pure WP:SPAM, and the only reference given is "For more information please visit www.rubicon.co.in". Borkificator (talk) 11:18, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fokker Technologies[edit]

Hi Borkificator,

Can you please check the page for Fokker Technologies on my user page. I would like to know if the content is OK after some alterations I've made.

Thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by AircraftLove (talkcontribs) 12:04, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's a direct paste of the copyrighted page http://www.fokker.com/Fokker-Technologies, so I strongly recommend that you get rid of that and write it from scratch in your own words. Please see WP:COPYRIGHT for more information. Please also have a read of WP:Conflict of interest: it's going to be extremely difficult for you to write objectively about your own company. Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 12:20, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I work for Fokker Technologies, is it than still a problem? — Preceding unsigned comment added by AircraftLove (talkcontribs) 12:23, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I changed it such that it does not reflect a direct copy from the company page. It is better this way? — Preceding unsigned comment added by AircraftLove (talk •--AircraftLove (talk) 12:41, 9 February 2011 (UTC) contribs) 12:37, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The copyright breach is now gone, but it needs more info on why the WP:COMPANY is WP:NOTABLE. Try to find some WP:Secondary, independent, WP:Reliable sources in support of this. Thanks, Borkificator (talk) 13:18, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Borkificator! I will keep it on my personal page and add the suggestions you provided. After I'm finished I'll ask you again to verify if it's OK. Thanks soo much for your help! I really appreciate it. --AircraftLove (talk) 16:36, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there,

I added some secondary sources to the article. Are these OK? If it's OK I would like to add it officially to wikipedia and start the procedure of adding the logo to it. Looking forward to hear from you. Regards --AircraftLove (talk) 13:27, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looks OK to me. Would you like me to move the whole page to the main article space? Borkificator (talk) 14:08, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do and thank you soo much. I'm looking forward to seeing it on wikipedia itself --AircraftLove (talk) 14:15, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Borkificator (talk) 14:21, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
