The page Babel Travel has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:20, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Babel Travel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cind.amuse 08:11, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stop, please, about Babel Travel[edit]

There are two issues with your writing:

  1. Most of it is copied verbatim from a press release or other publication, like the one seen here. This is not acceptable. If you wrote all of the material yourself originally, go to #2. If not, stop.
  2. The writing reads like a total advertisement. If you were reading an encyclopedia, would you ever expect to find "Babel Travel believes that travel should be sustainable causing no impact to the host communities or the environment. By travelling courteously and respectfully in small groups (12 is the maximum group size), ensures that every Babel Travel adventure is a beneficial experience for everyone involved." in there? Absolutely not! Even if you wrote the press releases your article is a copy of, you can't use the material—because it's blatant spam.

Please stop writing about Babel Travel or Robert Young Pelton altogether. You've received several warnings about this already. If you persist in making this page or repeating your edits, you will unfortunately be blocked. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 02:55, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
