Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vernam AFB.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Vernam AFB cup.JPG. The copy called Image:Vernam AFB cup.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 03:45, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Boca Raton AAF property cards.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. License tagging for Image:Grenier Fld dedication.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Grenier Fld dedication.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:07, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Grenier Fld dedication.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is a redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Grenier Fld dedication.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Boxtop, thanks for expanding Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. Your citations and additions, however, do not meet Wikipedia's standard for proper citations. I encourage you to read Wikipedia:Citing sources before you add any further information to this article. Regards, Daysleeper47 (talk) 15:43, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't ask for the information to be removed. I asked for it to be properly cited. If you had added citations properly, I wouldn't have had an issue with the material you added. I'm a big USAF and Youngstown buff. I want to see the expansion of that article as much as the next guy, but it must be done properly. That means it must be cited. You state that I ruin Wikipedia for everyone, but Wikipedia's legitimacy will only increase when things are cited properly. --Daysleeper47 (talk) 19:33, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your zeal blinds you to the obnoxious effect of your interventions. Your self-appointed role of protector of Wikipedia's academic integrity is neither needed nor appreciated.

Here are the citations that troubled you to such an extent. “U.S. Planning to Reopen 13 More Air Bases”, New York Times, December 22, 1950; "ADC Youngstown Base Opens, 50,000 Visit," Air Force Times, August 30, 1952; Bill Green, The First Line: Air Defense in the Northeast, 1952-1960 (Fairview, Penn.: Wonderhorse Publications, 1994); Rene Francillion, Air National Guard (Aerospace Publications, 1993); Maurer Maurer, Air Force Combat Units of World War II (Washington, D.C.: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1961); Maurer Maurer, Combat Squadrons of the Air Force, World War II (Washington, D.C.: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1982); "Air Force to Drop Base and 3 Units”, New York Times, October 29, 1959; Richard F.
