Your mock biography and comments on Essjay's page

[edit]

The first is a hypocritical and needless joke, while the second was simply incivil sarcasm. I would like to remind you that our policies on behaviour still apply even when the butt of your incivility is not in the best of community standing at the moment. --tjstrf talk 09:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, the first is satire. The second was also satire. I wouldn't have made the mock biography if Jimbo hiself hadn't stated that he doesn't have a problem with it. [1]

Blocked

[edit]

Given your recent trolling in Essjay-related issues, as well as your username, I have blocked you indefinitely. If you wish to contest the block, place {{unblock|reason}} on your user talk page. --Coredesat 09:39, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

An indefinite block seems a little crazy considering that I have not vandalized anything, that I clarified my position on the talk page as being one of support, and that I kept my expression of dissatisfaction with Jimbo's position on people pretending to be academics to mine and the relevant talk pages. Plus, I'm in the middle of some serious work on Hard Grit that I reckon could be a useful resource. If you're happy to approve an indefinite (by which I read perma-) ban, then I guess I can find somewhere else to be. I appreciate that you want to keep trolls out of things, but the difference between trolling and vandalism and relevant commentary should be easily seen by those with the power to indef block (which is a ban, however you look at it). Not too impressed with my first contact with WP:ADMINS. As for the username comment, I really don't know what you are on about. Brain Peppers! 09:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I seriously doubt you don't know why your username is offensive based on your arrival to Wikipedia (that and you have somehow managed to make a customized signature). Anyway, onto why I believe this block is warranted. You have decided for no known reason to disrupt Wikipedia by trolling the user talk page of a former administrator, bureaucrat, and arbitrator who has left under circumstances that are probably well-documented throughout the internet. This is compounded by your addition to your userpage in which you mock the same things that the other user has voluntarily left the project for. While your contributions to the Hard Grit article are constructive, it appears that you came here solely to cause unneeded and unwarranted drama.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 09:55, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Why you fail it

[edit]
  • I still don't know what the issue is with my username, and why creating a personal signature (which anyone can do by editing user preferences) would suggest that I do.
  • Thanks also to Ryulong for the edit stalking that has begun. You guys are real mature.
  • As things stand, I would rather you delete the Hard Grit page, which you are obviously trying to do to annoy me, when in actual fact you don't deserve my contributions.
  • Blocking account creation from this IP would suggest that you are using a block as a permaban.
  • Thanks for showing me how petty and stupid WP admins are. I guess Orlowski was right, and I will be reading future articles on the Register with a much more open mind.

Arbitration Request

[edit]

I have sent an email to an active member of Arb Comm, following my reading of the guidelines for blocking, and the 48 hour block mentioned at: User_talk:Ruy_Lopez#Blocked. I still also haven't had any explanation as to why my username is offensive despite repeated requests.

Thanks,
