Grant High School peer review

[edit]

Hello, this is a very interesting topic and engaging for those who are researching the school for their children or students interested in knowing about their school. The research seems personal but gathers from reliable resources. The Film program and Culture sections are intriguing yet there is not a lot of information. However, you can always come back and add information to it for future research. In all, it is a good topic to attack. I think you choose the right additions and provided new knowledge to the high school. Samanthadays (talk) 01:25, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Page deleted

[edit]

I saw that you moved your sandbox live and it was deleted as a test page by RHaworth. I have a few notes:

  • When you move articles live from your sandbox, you must fix the title - otherwise it will show up as the name of your sandbox (ie, Brewillard/sandbox) and will need to be moved again.
  • High schools are generally considered to be notable, however keep aware that not all aspects of the school will be notable enough to include in the article. For example, the article should not contain a list of the various school clubs, as this is seen to be a bit too much of an indiscriminate detail about the school. A school article should basically have this information:
  1. Lead section (introduction giving a brief overview)
  2. History (gives history of school)
  3. Academics (info about enrollment, awards the school has received, special programs they may offer if any)
  4. Extracurricular (this should only give a general overview of the most notable clubs and activities the school offers - this means secondary, independent coverage, otherwise it should basically just state that it offers clubs and activities without listing all of them)
  5. Notable people associated with the school
The article on Amador Valley High School is a good example of how an article on a high school should look - granted not all schools will have this much detail out there on the Internet, but the general outline of the article will still apply.
  • Primary sources are fine, but don't forget to look for independent, secondary reliable sources.

I hope that this helps, if you choose to seek restoration of the article or if you want to start up again from scratch in your sandbox. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 22:22, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
