Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Virgo21, a page you have created yourself. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Advice[edit]

First, read WP:COI about conflict of interest (editing about you and yours). Theoretically, all the editors here should be neutral and not attached to their subjects. Second, read WP:CORP or WP:WEB depending which fits best. They are about notability, which all articles should show. Then read WP:RS about the reliable independent sources you need to provide to prove it. Wikipedia isn't like Facebook. On social media, there are few restrictions on how you write (barring legal restrictions on libel, etc). Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and there are rules. On a directory site like AboutUs, any business can get a page (so far as I know...). Here, there has to be notability. Peridon (talk) 20:35, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Virgo21, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wgolf (talk) 21:14, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Virgo21, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Wgolf (talk) 21:14, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed the deletion template on the article, as I did not find it unambiguously promotional, but also did not see any assertion of notability whatsoever. Please see WP:CSD#A7 for the speedy deletion criteria, and also see WP:CORP for the criteria a company must meet before it merits an article on Wikipedia.
Because you seem to have a conflict of interest, WP:AFC is your best venue for composing an article where it can be reviewed before publishing in main article space. ~Amatulić (talk) 03:52, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Virgo21. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Wgolf (talk) 05:40, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
