Maps by Briangotts

[edit]

I just wanted to let you know that I am a big fan of the maps you've created and/or uploaded to Wikipedia. I've used several of them as references to maps I'm creating (which are available on my user page). Thank you for uploading them and making them available to Wikireaders! Noted Discrepancy

[edit]

I have noted a discrepancy between File:Faisal-Weizmann map.png and two other sources as noted here, and replied to here. I am a knowledgeable proponent and admirer of maps on Wikipedia as well as your considerable contribution to them.

I have considered which action to take for some time, and decided that the direct-author-approach might possibly accomplish my ends with the least work and heat, and the greatest degree of AGF. It will likely require work on your part, however. I want the map to stay on Wikipedia, because it is an important map; equally, I want it to reflect its RS’d words accurately With regard to the (red-lined) northern and eastern borders, I do not believe it currently does. No sources are given on the file and the image conflicts with sources I have found.

Wikipedia requires accuracy, and I believe I have the Wiki-option to delete it as OR; but, do not want it deleted. Other avenues are also available, but why? I would appreciate your review of the information I have provided, your assessment of it, as well as your considered response. Regards, CasualObserver'48 (talk) 08:43, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
