Hello, bonjour, salut, privyet, konichiwa, shalom, hola, salve, sala'am, bonjourno, and hi! I'm Sputnik. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". We're glad to have you in our community! I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful. If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you. Here are a few links to get you started:

• Always sign your posts on talk pages! That way, others will know who left which comments. You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.

Don't worry about the vandal

Hey there. I just wanted to note that I'm trying to get admins to track down the repeat vandal who's been hitting a number of articles regarding spamfighters. I suspect the same person is behind the recent spate of vandalism, blanking, or libel at Brian J. Bruns, Steve Linford, SPEWS, and so on. I've put in a checkuser request to find out just how much of the recent harassment and vandalism are the same crook.

You don't know me, but I used to be a semi-regular NANAE participant, and I have a great deal of appreciation for the amount of work that people like you and Stiff Linefeed put into keeping the world's email system usable. --FOo 04:11, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia's LGBT Community

Hi, Briellie! You've indicated through various means (a userbox, membership in a category, etc) that you are part of the Wikipedia LGBT community, or are interested in Wikipedia's LGBT related pages. Welcome! You may not know that Wikipedia has both an LGBT Notice Board and an LGBT Studies WikiProject. If you haven't yet done so, take a look at both of them. They sorely need attention and participation! Some things on the "To-Do List" that merit particular attention include: Identifying topics/pages that need attention Identifying problems that need addressing Adding the LGBT template to appropriate pages Categorizing LGBT pages Please feel free to participate in any or all of these activities! And if you feel like it, add yourself to either the Noticeboard Members or the WikiProject Participants - or both!

Barnstar

Hello, hope this finds you well. I noticed that The4325 left you a barnstar for "being Homosexual." (showing a complete lack of understanding of the difference between gender identity and sexuality, which is unfortunately all too typical) He has since been blocked for adding defamatory content to Talk:Homosexuality. Help?

You posted some warning for a user at "67.210.225.171" - can you please cite evidence of any vandalism? The IP belongs to a shared server and we need to track down the offending user. This is completely incorrect, and the statement should be replaced, and any "warning" removed. SORBS *has* blocked entire /16 blocks, incorrectly blocked vast spaces of New Zealand IP space, and listed several /20 blocks. There is no reason for that comment to even be there, other then a spite or jab at Mat. I might take you more seriously if you weren't anonymous. *hint hint*. Regardless, I am not the first person to remove that type of comment. Brielle (talk) 04:59, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

You don't need to take me seriously at all. A simple Google search will verify the claims and prove them. So, you're removing things because you think that they're 'opinion and personal feeling.' I have absolutely no reason to take *you* seriously now either, and even less desire to wage a war with Wikipedia revisionists. Cheers! (And the Vandalism Warning will be removed permanently. In The Abusive Hosts Blocking List I reverted the bit you put in, 'and a spammer' because I couldn't find the precise reference in the court documents. Did I miss it? If you have good reason to revert it back, just put a sentence of the the wording in the document you are citing in the edit summary, thanks. Jusdafax 04:53, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
