Information icon Hello, I'm Alpha Piscis Austrini. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of awards and honors received by Bruce Lee, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at List of awards and honors received by Bruce Lee shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Bbb23 (talk) 14:38, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bbb23, you've done exactly the same. Please, read my version. It's more complete, up to date, sourced and appealing. You can use your own words to improve my version, but please don't delete it anymore! Thanks for your understanding. Brightstarrrr (talk) 14:49, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're wrong about your version. I've started a discussion on the article Talk page. Hopefully, other editors will contribute. Frankly, I have no interest in the article and only noticed it because of a complaint filed about you at WP:ANEW. If you revert again, though, I will report you to ANEW.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:00, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bbb23, I'm sorry the one who will report you to Anew is me. Your arguments are childish: e.g. 'the article was so ugly' . I can't accept that kind of arguments. I repeat: my version is more complete, up to date, sourced and appealing. Feel free to use your own words to improve my version, but please don't delete it completely. That new content enriches Wikipedia. Thanks. Brightstarrrr (talk) 15:19, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And please analyze the last version I published, not the process. Brightstarrrr (talk) 15:21, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder why you've deleted my comments. Bbb23 wrote 'Your article was so ugly.', and I replied: 'I didn't know articles were supposed to be beautiful, top models...' Brightstarrrr

Please, respect my job!

[edit]

Hi, Alpha Piscis Austrini.

It is not disruptive to add content and references. I am really sorry both articles were incomplete. Thanks for your understanding.

I just added this important piece of information: "According to an article published on Tatler Asia in September 2021, Bruce Lee's mansion became a luxurious clubhouse, a privately-owned two-storey property." Brightstarrrr (talk) 13:11, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is my last attempt. This is a summarized but complete version.

Bruce Lee, the King of Kung Fu, was a genius and deserves all honors.

According to The Guinness Book of World Records, Bruce Lee holds seven unbroken titles. He could do around 200 push-ups on two fingers and 100 on one thumb, to name but a few.

He has many statues: in Los Angeles (United States), in Hong Kong (China), in Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

He has inspired plenty of top brands: - Nokia N96 Bruce Lee Limited Edition (ad of Bruce Lee playing table tennis with nunchucks); - Nike Kobe 5 Protro Bruce Lee; - Xiaomi: Redmi K40 Gaming Bruce Lee Edition; - Casio G-shock MR-G Bruce Lee Collaboration Model; - The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Bruce Lee.

He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the US and another one on the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong.

He has a theme park in Foshan, China.

He was inducted into both the California Museum's Hall of Fame and the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

He was "resurrected" for Johnnie Walker whisky ad.

He has 8.5 million followers on Instagram.

He has received multiple prizes: Golden Horse Film Festival: Special Jury Award (1972); Hong Kong Film Award for Lifetime Achievement (1994); Hong Kong Film Award for Star of Century (2005); The Asian Awards: Founder's Award (2013).

He was was named among TIME Magazine's 100 Most Important People of the Century.

In 1979 with the master of ceremonies Joe Green, the Mayor of Los Angeles, Tom Bradley, officially proclaimed June 8 as Bruce Lee Day.

Kungfu, a fast-food chain in China, uses Bruce Lee's logo.

Chkoudra Paris launched a perfume brand to honor Bruce Lee.

ONE Championship launched its limited edition ONE x Bruce Lee collection (jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, joggers, etc.).

He is considered by different documentaries (like The Legend of Bruce Lee, Be Water and I Am Bruce Lee), magazines (such as Black Belt Magazine), media (such as UFC and Spike TV channels) and websites as one of the greatest martial artists of all time.

Bruce Lee filmography (The Big Boss, Fist of Fury, Enter the Dragon, The Way of the Dragon, Game of Death, etc.) and publications (Tao of Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee's Fighting Method, etc.) are priceless masterpieces.

It's only missing to award Bruce Lee with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Philosophy and Martial Arts.

Well, I really thought I was doing a good job... I did not know about the rules regarding edition.

You can see the content I had added. Feel free to edit the article yourself by using it. Thanks anyway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brightstarrrr (talkcontribs)

I would like to apologize as I missed that you had added sourced content. I have now re-added said content, but please refrain from violating WP:EUPHEMISM. Again my apologies Tommi1986 let's talk! 14:46, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brightstarrrr (talkcontribs)
Hello Brightstarrrr. Please be aware of a complaint about your edits at WP:AN3. A dispute at 41 Cumberland Road was reported to administrators for a ruling. You seemed to be warring to restore a euphemism to the article ('passed away' instead of 'died'). When other editors are trying to enforce normal Wikipedia style. you should discuss before undoing their changes. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 17:10, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

41 Cumberland Road

"fix per source; a new building was constructed at that address, Bruce Lee's home was demolished" (Schazjmd)

It was written in the previous paragraph... Bruce Lee's mansion was demolished (and now it is a clubhouse). Maybe the problem is my English, but people could understand what I meant after reading the previous paragraph. Brightstarrrr (talk) 04:03, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit said According to an article published on Tatler Asia in September 2021, Bruce Lee's mansion became a luxurious clubhouse, a privately-owned two-storey property. Lee's house did not become a clubhouse. Lee's house was demolished. A clubhouse was built on the land at that address. Do you see the difference? Your edit was incorrect. Schazjmd (talk) 15:19, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As for "List of awards and honors received by Bruce Lee", I'm a serious contributor, but I didn't know I could only edit an article twice a day... It was just missing some "italic" to be acceptable. I'd kindly ask you to keep my version. Thanks a lot. Brightstarrrr (talk) 04:07, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Brightstarrrr, there is not limit on how many time you can edit an article, the only problem with you edits were the manual of style issues, i.e changing 'died' to 'passed away'. In future, my advice would be, if one of your edits are reverted, reach out and leave a message on the editors talk page, and find out why. You can always leave a message on my talk page if you ever have any questions! The teahouse is also a great place to get advice or ask questions!! Happy editing Tommi1986 let's talk! 11:20, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dear editors,

Please, don't delete any piece of information from my last version! I've worked very hard to compile all those awards/honors. It took me long to finish it.

It wasn't a good behavior to delete information related to top brands such as Nike, Nokia, Xiaomi, Casio and Hublot. I've been wise and careful enough to write an article that meets all generations' needs/expectations. For instance, teens find Bruce Lee Xiaomi smartphone a more interesting honor than a statue. Moreover, that kind of honors are recent. It's important to have an up-to-date article. Please, pay attention to sources dates/years. I had into account past (e.g. statues), present (e. g. Xiaomi smartphone) and future (a suggestion: Bruce Lee should be awarded with an Honorary Doctorate Degree).

Thank you for your understanding.
