Looks like you're off to a good start! Let me know if you need any help. Hoopes (talk) 01:43, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Be sure to consider and cite critiques of the Epigraphic Society. You can read more about Fell and his work in Stephen Williams' Fantastic Archaeology. Hoopes (talk) 22:24, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Brigid. I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling stuck! There are some good ways out of that. For example, I urge you to look at some primary sources, especially Fell's own books America B.C. and Saga America. You cite Alice Beck Kehoe's book but surprisingly don't seem to draw much from Stephen Williams' Fantastic Archaeology, which also discusses Fell and the Epigraphic society. While secondary sources are helpful, you should also look at and study actual copies of the Epigraphic Society Occasional Papers. (Available in the KU library.) These may inspire you to comment on examples of ESOP scholarship or to add links to your entry to objects and sites such as the Kensington Runestone, the Heavener Runestone, the Davenport Tablets, and America's Stonehenge, among others Hoopes (talk) 21:14, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please look at the changes that I've made to your article with regard to both content and organization. I wish you had gone further to look at primary materials, especially Fell's own publications and issues of ESOP itself. Most of the information you present here appears to have been obtained from the Web rather than from those. The section on Barry Fell should be added to the entry on Barry Fell. (It does not really belong in this article.) The article should have concentrated on the Society itself, including many contributors other than Fell. Although you include links to the Kensington Runestone, the Heavener Runestone, the Davenport Tablets, you do not discuss why these are relevant to the article. I found a number of typographic errors in addition to stylistic ones I've corrected. Also, your citations and references are not in appropriate Wikipedia style. (Please consult other articles for examples.) This article is not yet ready for mainspace. Hoopes (talk) 18:59, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
