Brisbane[edit]

It's been discussed to death that the map is to be in the infobox of the article. Los Angeles and Adelaide for example has the map in their infobox. Please stop changing this without discussion. --Arnzy (talk · contribs) 00:51, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brisbane (continued)[edit]

I rolled back your edits to Brisbane for two reasons. Firstly, the edit that you made here reverted to an earlier version of the page that replaced the locator map with an image,[1]. (Even though you changed the image it is still a reversion) That earlier version had received opposition in the article, the article's talk page and here and, despite you edit summary, there has been no consensus to revert to your version of the page. In fact the current censensus is that an image may be used provided the locator map is still retained and your edit didn't do that.

Secondly, I had cleaned up the infobox, correcting various errors in doing so[2] and your reversion deleted the clean-up to the version that had errors. In short, your reversion bordered on vandalism. As soon as I have finished here, I will be rolling back your edits again. You should not force your changes back into the article until there is a clear consensus, as has already been indicated to you, and even then, any changes should be only those necessary to implement the change. You shouldn't simply cut and paste and old version as you appeared to have done. --AussieLegend (talk) 09:19, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

There's nothing wrong with a separate map except that you need a separate map for each location that wants one. Remembering that it's not only Brisbane that uses a map, that could potentially result in several thousand maps. With the map coded into the template you only need a single map for each state and territory and one for Australia, or 9 in total. --AussieLegend (talk) 12:36, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source for Image:McCauleyWeir6.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:McCauleyWeir6.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:36, 20 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hello, Brisbane Man. You have new messages at Mvjs's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Notability of Kelisitaan[edit]

A tag has been placed on Kelisitaan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bonadea (talk) 10:27, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of 4615[edit]

A tag has been placed on 4615 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ninety:one 22:03, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Aaron Mooy[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Aaron Mooy, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aaron Mooy (2nd nomination). Thank you.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. GiantSnowman 16:38, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Aaron Mooy. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Survivor allstars 2, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

uneccesary redirect as one already exists

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Wikimedians to the Games[edit]

I'd like to invite you to participate Wikimedians to the Games :) It is a great opportunity to help improve Australian related content, and potentially to travel to attend the second biggest sporting event of the year. As you're an existing Wikipedian editor, you should have some advantage because you should know how to contribute and improve articles already. :) If you get to a certain point threshold, there is also a possiblity to travel to Canberra to attend a workshop at the Australian Institute of Sport. --LauraHale (talk) 09:55, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
