Dam Power Station[edit]
Hello Brookyitna. I am having trouble confirming the new 6,000 MW generation capacity for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. I have seen 6,000 MW in some news reports but haven't seen anything specific about an increase. It can be the case, as sometimes happens, that the capacity is exaggerated or rounded-up a little too much. I looked at the contractor's website and last article at the dam's website where a capacity is mentioned. Both have 5,250 MW. With a redesign there is usually specifics, i.e. how many more generators, their capacity, etc. What source did you have? With just mentions in press of a capacity (which do tend to spread like wild-fire), I can't believe with certainty it was increased.--NortyNort (Holla) 22:16, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
