Your edit at Pederasty

[edit]

The topic is the subject of ongoing queer study and research, and is not only ancient, for better or for worse. That makes the LGBT link appropriate. If you disagree, please discuss on article talk page. Haiduc 13:19, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya!

*Snicker* Howdy mate! Long time no see. ;-) How's it going on this corner of the Wikipedia? Raystorm 19:11, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hahaha, I'll see what I can do... ;-) But we're still a long way of having a newsletter (I think) Raystorm 22:45, 8 May 2007 (UTC) And yeah, I saw it too...darn![reply]
Yes, well, that famous Spanish wikipedian can try! If he doesn't get indef blocked, that is. ;-) I actually removed one of his tags seeing he was busy trying to not get blocked (and as I thought, he didn't care/noticed). Anyway, good night and see ya later! ;-) Raystorm 23:03, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Zambetis 08:52, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hola!

[edit]

PD: Por cierto.

Alexander did NOT invade modern day india, but only up to PAKISTAN

[edit]

This is regarding your comments about Alexanders route, I think some clarification and understanding needs to be undertaken as much confusion has been promoted.

Not necessarily Bucephala (which by the way is(horse) burried in Pakistan too near the city of Jhelum..lol!) Ancient India, in historical terms refers to the regions along the Indus river of Pakistan, a term coined by ancient Persians and Greeks. Gangetic india(where the modern day country of india is currently located) had a distinct culture and civilization hence the difference seen today. Unfortunately, when the British arrived to South Asia, they took the name of the Indus region of Pakistan and applied it to the whole of South Asia. Upon independence from British colonial rule, gangetic india took the official name much to the surprise of Pakistan's founding father M.A. Jinnah who considered it a cultural and historical hijacking of Pakistan's ancient history. It is due to this misnomer that some people confuse Alexanders Hellenic Empire and the route he took. Alexander in fact, only went up to the lands of the Indus, and that means, up to Pakistan, this should be reflected more accurately in the article. To say that the whole region is one is not factual and a dilution of history, it would be akin to the British conquering Egypt, Libya, and all of Africa, then calling the whole continent Egypt, thats what happened in South Asia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.228.164.238 (talk) 17:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WTF? Who said otherwise? Read twice, if you please. By the way, new messages go at the bottom of the page... --Bucephala (talk) 19:11, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:40, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
