Hi Bucksburg, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions to the coolest online encyclopedia I know of =). I sure hope you stick around; we're always in need of more people to create new articles and improve the ones we already have. Here are a few suggestions you might find useful:

Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing! --Spangineerws (háblame) 04:36, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your correction. Leszek Jańczuk (talk) 13:27, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated J. M. Humphrey, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/J. M. Humphrey. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Jrtayloriv (talk) 00:29, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

February 2010[edit]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Haiti. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Without realising it you have actually lessened the quality of the article. The Americas are NOT the western hemisphere, merely part of it. Please see other articles for information on this matter as well as the List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)_per_capita . Haiti[edit]

Hi

Just so that you can perhaps more understand I have included a few links for you.

Western Hemisphere
List of countries by income per head

Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Gambia, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Togo and Liberia are all in the western Hemisphere and are in the GMT time zone

This gives at least six countries that are poorer than Haiti in the Western Hemisphere. It is true that Haiti is the poorest country in the Americas though

Chaosdruid (talk) 17:03, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, I do not understand. The only reference link at Western Hemisphere states:

"The western and eastern hemispheres are bounded far more arbitrarily and are not well-named. One might think they would be bounded by the prime meridian and the International Dateline, thus separating the portions of the earth that are labeled with east and west longitude. They generally are not (Figure 4-2). They are usually bounded by approximately 20° W and 160° E longitude, more conveniently separating North and South America from Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. "

African countries are not in the Western Hemisphere as the term is usually used. Insisting otherwise is pedantry and contrary to the purposes of Wikipedia.

Hello, Bucksburg. I'm stopping by your talk page just in case you don't see this comment I made, since the notifications system will only point you to the edit I made just before that one.

And in case you still don't know how to properly sign your user name, like you didn't in the section just before this one above, all you have to do to sign your username is simply type four tildes (~), like this: ~~~~. Flyer22 (talk) 19:57, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Flyer22, I really don't know how to use this talk page. I'm replying to you by editing it. I will continue to delete disinformation on the role of military women in WW1 who resettled in NYC until proven wrong or banned. Bucksburg (talk) 20:45, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You have edited this talk page fine in this section, except you didn't WP:Indent your reply. I've indented for you. As for what you call misinformation, other than this reply, I also replied here. Flyer22 (talk) 21:08, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't revert you on this edit, but I did leave this message. I'm not sure if you are watching that article now. But just in case you are not familiar with the fact that you don't have to watch it manually (as in revisiting it to watch it), I point you to WP:Watch list. Flyer22 (talk) 22:41, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dorchester Pot date[edit]

Per your edit, please check the SA link. The date is clearly June 5. The date in the image is wrong.--Auric talk 13:29, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

American Politics articles[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

You must include a reliable source when adding election results, either calls or vote totals. ST47 (talk) 19:05, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
