Please stop continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Bihari Rajputs, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. MahenSingha (Talk) 18:11, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Kachwaha

[edit]

I've reverted your massive removal of content from Kachwaha in December. The issue has been discussed extensively across a range of articles and you really need to read the entirety both of the Kachwaha article and its sources (ie: not just one or two pages from a source) before crashing in like that, sorry. - Sitush (talk) 20:31, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

For example, the cited source says "Kushvaha-kshatriya identity was espoused by agricultural communities well known through the Gangetic north for an expertise in small-scale vegetable ... and poppy cultivation. Prominent among them were Kachhi and Murao agriculturalists of central Uttar Pradesh, Kachhvahas of western Uttar Pradesh, and Koiris of Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh" ... and so on. Your edit summary ("sources make no actual reference to Kachwahas but merely to a separate group called Kushwahas who they only share a similar sounding name with") is plain wrong, presumably because instead of actually reading that source you instead searched for one particular spelling of the word. - Sitush (talk) 20:42, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Madhesh shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hello, I'm User:Ashim nep.   • I don't Understand you and the thing you talk about. please read the source that you are talking about.Let me cote from the source that you are talking about under iv sub 4 ,"Political Configuration of Madhesh";

"After the incorporation of Madhesh into Nepal in 1769 by King Prithvi Narayan Shah of Gorkha, the map of Tarai was redrawn by the Sugauli Treaty concluded between British India and Nepal in 1816. The treaty caused the people living in Madhesh to remain separately across the international borders dividing India and Nepal. Madheshis have ever since been divided, with no change in their status" [1] It clearly says Madhesh along with different small kingdoms were annexed in 1769 by King Prithvi Narayan Shah of Gurkha and made into a new state namely Nepal and was later divided by british after Sugauli Treaty in 1816.AA 20:05, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Burbak, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
