Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Cabanes! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Ryan 07:41, August 5, 2005 (UTC)

I think that because you own the painting and took the picture, you should be okay. I'll double check. Ryan 08:10, August 5, 2005 (UTC)

I agree. I don't see any problem with using the image. -- Essjay · Talk 08:27, August 5, 2005 (UTC)

No problem. Good night and God Bless! Acetic Acid 01:33, August 19, 2005 (UTC)

Personal Prelatures & Their Establishment

[edit]

Thanks for your reply. I think including a link to the canon which establishes Personal Prelatures helpful in explaining what they are and how they are erected, and therefore, how Opus Dei is situated ("fits") into the whole Church. Clicking on the link for Personal Prelature in the 2nd sentence doesn't yield much new information. Also, the establishment of Opus Dei as a Personal Prelature did take place on 28 November 1982 and was effected by JP II's signing of the Apostolic Constituion Ut Sit. I.e., the signing of this document on that date was the pivotal event in the Prelature's establishment. Isn't this and a link to the document useful information to someone reading the opening paragraph? Would it be better to place my suggestions on the discussion page for a while and wait?

Best,

Josemaria Escriva painting

[edit]

Hello, Since you own copyright of the picture entitled 'Magpakabanal sa Gawain' of Josemaria Escriva, I am writing to ask whether you would be prepared to allow permission for its use in a book on Opus Dei, due to go to press in Spring 2007. I await your response - but please note that the schedule is very tight! All good wishes username:pcaaveiro 29 June 2006 ˆˆˆˆ

Hi Cabanes,
on Commons only now we found that the photo of the painting uploaded by you some years ago, carries a PD-template, though as of your own words, you released it under GFDL. Could you solve this contradiction? I would recommend you to change the license either to GFDL or to re-upload it under a CC-BY-SA license, in order to allow at least a minimum of control over the image, which would not be the case with a PD image. --Túrelio (talk) 22:07, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cabanes, have you seen this DR? --Túrelio (talk) 12:57, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
