AfD nomination of MTV Music

I have nominated MTV Music, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MTV Music. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. — Realist2 21:35, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome!

Glad to help and be introduced to another great read. I'm on it. Best wishes for your dyk, Julia Rossi (talk) 23:13, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MTVmusicScreen.PNG)

Thanks for uploading Image:MTVmusicScreen.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:32, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

It's done. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:58, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Did You Know question

Hi. I've reviewed your DYK submission for the article Blue Moon Rising (novel), and made a comment on it at the submissions page. Please feel free to reply or comment there. Cheers, Art LaPella (talk) 05:43, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

I have too. You might want to respond fairly quickly if you can as time is running a little short on this nom now. Regards, — BillC talk 21:15, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Re:Halloween (per comment in my guestbook)

Hey, sorry for the response - been busy lately.

Halloween was great, thank you! We have a thing in Texas called "Truck-or-treat," where cars gather in huge parking lots and kids pick out handfuls of candy from the trunks. Not good for the paunch, but fun, nonetheless. :) —La Pianista (TCS) 23:24, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

RE:Command & Conquer rerating

I remember being on the fence about whether it was Start or C. I believe I chose Start because the amount of real-world content (Development history, Trademark, Awards, and TV) was minuscule compared to the Story and Gameplay sections. The lack of sources was a determining factor as well. If you'd like the article reassessed, I suggest putting in a request at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Assessment. Command & Conquer soundtracks

Hi Cabe, loving the work on the C&C discography! I was just wondering where you found the soundtrack listings for some of the later games? I'm having trouble following them up is all, and unless they can be verified they can't stay. I really really want them to stay, so I await your reply! Either here or my talk page is fine thanks. Caissa's DeathAngel (talk) 19:33, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Cheers mate, I copied the track listings from the List of Command & Conquer media page and set about working on them. I own most of the albums and games so thats where I'm getting a lot of the info from. I'm working my way through referencing them as I go. If they have to go I'd prefer they got commented out until I got to them --Cabe6403 (TalkSign!) 00:29, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
No worries, I've got no intention of removing anything! Really just curiosity at this point, though I realised after I posted that that I could have just checked the games themselves anyway! Cheers for replying! Caissa's DeathAngel (talk) 09:01, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Glen Ord Distillery

You are welcome. I had fun researching the topic. Thanks for creating the article.Nrswanson (talk) 11:34, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

I just wanted to say it sucks you didn't get the DYK credit. I guess there was some issue with copywrited material earlier. Regardless, you're the one that got me interested in the topic and I thank you for that. It did make the front page too so it was time well spent on both our parts. So I just wanted to say I give you props even if you didn't get the credit. Keep up the good work!Nrswanson (talk) 00:10, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Re:Removal of Album images on Discography of Command & Conquer

Hmmm, this is interesting. I could link to numerous discussions regarding album images in "[band] discography" articles (see, for instance, the featured lists Nine Inch Nails discography, Godsmack discography and numerous others from WikiProject Metal) but it seems that there is a slightly different practice for video game discography articles. Sorry about the misunderstanding, and feel free to add the images back- I'll start a discussion about this somewhere and let you know about it. J Milburn (talk) 18:25, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I have started a discussion here, and I am now going to draw attention to it on a couple of WikiProjects. J Milburn (talk) 18:33, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Comment anyway! They seem to think that its fine for them to leave it stagnant, as its "better than deleting it". It'd be good to have someone comment who has a bit of common sense. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 23:54, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject TUGS

I've got to get offline

You can tell your games cronies that ive changed Template:TUGS-RfC a wee bit. Basically sorted the parameter (now its optional), and removed the rfc link. Wait i haven't actually tested that.... I'll do it now

In theory, "[[Template:TUGS-RfC|Scott McCabe's House]]" produces:

Wikipedia:WikiProject TUGS

but, if we just do [[Template:TUGS-RfC]].
