Speedy deletion of Red Goodbye
[edit]A tag has been placed on Red Goodbye requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File copyright problem with File:Redgoodbye-band.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Redgoodbye-band.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:44, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Verification of license status needed for File:Redgoodbye-band.jpg
[edit]I noticed that you had placed a copyright tag on this image, noting it to be released under a free license. However, it appears just to be a retouched version of the image here, on a page listed as all rights reserved. If this is your image to release, you will need to confirm that you own the image or have the necessary permissions to release it under a free license through one of the verification processes described here. Please let me know if you need any help doing that, or if you are unable to secure the necessary permissions. Seraphimblade Talk to me 06:12, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- Have you made any progress on this? If you're not able to verify permission, the image will have to be deleted. Seraphimblade Talk to me 15:36, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- As there appears to be no progress on asserting permission to release this under a free license, I have nominated this image for speedy deletion as a copyright violation. If you wish to upload the image, please see the process described here for instructions on properly asserting that it is released under a free license.
