Adoption[edit]

Hi, I've offered to adopt you as part of Wikipedia's Adoption Program. If you choose to accept, please say so on my Talk Page.

Luksuh 07:25, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Adoption! - Hey! I would also like to offer my services for adopting a user such as yourself. If you decide to accept my request please notify me on my talk page. Regards, Onnaghar tl | co 14:02, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request for (small) Review :)[edit]

Okay! Thanks, you probably won't know this but I have never formerly "adopted" a user before so you'll be my first "adoptee". I hope you're ok with this! You asked me to look at the articles you've edited so far and the techniques you've used to encourage further understanding and readability to readers and editors alike on Wikipedia. I must say your recent edits to Noddy and the National Building Code of Canada are impressive. If you carry on like this I'm sure you'll be rewarded in many aspects by other users. If you want any other help or advice on what to do, or to improve your edit count, don't hesitate to reply back any time. I'm open (usually) from 13:00 to around 18:00 in UK time, but from September this will cut down drastically (but not cutting down my help). Thanks once again for choosing me as your adopter. I'm sure I'll help provide you with a great future on here. Onnaghar tl | co 17:41, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Yeah, to upload an image to Wikipedia you can use "File Upload Wizard" in the toolbar to the left. Make sure you use the correct licensing, e.g is made by yourself use an appropriate licensing. When you have uploaded it you have to add the image link i.e [[Image:Example.jpg]] to the page, to make the image smaller or to align it use this as an example [[Image:Example.jpg|thumb|right|200px]] (Remember the bigger the number the larger the image). For more information see Wikipedia's policy and directives. Unfortunarely, I will be down over the next few days/week or so due to internet problems and will not be able to respond quickly to queries. If you need more help see the Help Desk. Thanks. Onnaghar tl | co 10:51, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am accessing the website from a public computer. It must be time for a new life. Well, for what you've said I'd suggest seeing the merging policy and add the two pages onto proposed mergers. Make sure to add the template on the top of both pages notifying readers of the disclosed future. Regards, Onnaghar tl | co 10:37, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well Done, seems fine to me! Onnaghar tl | co 10:25, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Back to Back House.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:20070824114551 5m18s.jpg. The copy called Image:20070824114551 5m18s.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 16:00, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hatsheput's[edit]

From what I've seen, first of all, I'd ask the user Markh I think, why he did it?, it does seem a little strange for the simple fact that he didn't just redirect it. I have to go now, Wikipedia has been acting up all day since my new connection. I'll reply more when I get a better look at yester/today actions. Good luck also. Well done. I can see the change were reverted. This will probably the most appropriately named barnstar ever awarded but here we go...

For being a great sport and for a new editor surprisingly administatorish. Well done. :) Onnaghar tl ! co 13:38, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I'm back and I'm glad you are too. I hope you don't mind an adopter who usually goes on the blinkers. Onnaghar talk ! ctrb 16:53, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

:)![edit]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Colour Cast Example Corrected.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
