If you have any questions, please click this link, then hit the new section and rock and roll. I really like to pretend to know what I'm doing here, so I'm sure I'll give you the right answer, and if I don't, you can whack me with a trout.

By the way, this is not an automated bot that placed this message. Yes, it is boilerplate, but it won't appear anywhere if I don't put it there.

George Merchant[edit]

Yes, that prompted it. I have been creating articles for players in Scottish professional clubs over the last few months, with a particular focus on those who played in domestic cup finals since the war. Merchant scored a goal for Falkirk in the 1957 Scottish Cup Final. I'm not really seeing the point you are trying to make. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 18:04, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jim McFadzean, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Heart of Midlothian and St. Mirren. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Martin Roberts (rugby player) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Please do not add unsourced or untrue content to this page. It is currently protected from such activity by way of non-registered users being blocked from editing on that page. As a registered user yourself, I would ask that you follow the best conduct of all Wikipedia editors. However, if you ignore this advice, you are likely to be considered for blocking as an editor. I have reversed the edit you made - please do not repeat this, as action will no doubt be taken in the event it re-occurs. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 20:34, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on BBC Radio 3’s New Year’s revolutions for 2017, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. A tag has been placed on El Grafico: Fuuuuck requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Hi. When adding subjects to the above list, or for those covering similar years, please ensure that you include a reliable source to back up the entry. Your recent edit to Deaths in 2016 has been reverted in the absence of such a source, and my personal inability to find one good enough to add for you. The result of an internet search did not find one remotely reliable enough. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 22:25, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I admit that he was made up. Canon2015a (talk) 22:56, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You do some good other work on the "Deaths" pages. So I can't understand your frivolous other edits. We're all different I suppose. Ref (chew)(do) 07:30, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And right now you stand to get reported and blocked for vandalism, given the edits you have just made to Deaths in 2016, thankfully reverted by diligent editors. Please do not post to the page again unless adding properly sourced entries to do with deceased persons. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 22:03, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
