Queen[edit]

Please don't change the cited date on the Queen (band) article. The source (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-21669973) clearly states 1970. If you have a better source that refutes this then please bring it up on the talk page where it can be discussed, rather than simply repeating your edit. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:55, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May 2016[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Queen (band). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be undone.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Mlpearc (open channel) 18:02, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Queen (band).

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Mlpearc (open channel) 18:41, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! Your recent editing history at Queen (band) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Queen (band). Mlpearc (open channel) 19:04, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Do you have any sources for the changes you just made? Because his birth name was definitely "Farrokh," and the other claims are iffy at best. Thanks. RunnyAmiga (talk) 21:05, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistent disruptive editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ... discospinster talk 23:47, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As Template:Infobox person states, explicitly, " "partner" here means unmarried life partners (of any gender or sexual preference)". Freddie Mercury was not married and it is incorrect to refer to either of his partners as a "spouse". Please do not edit war over this, or you will be blocked again.
