uncited edits to Mike Malloy[edit]

Hello Capsource1 - Thanks for registering a username with Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know that I reverted your edits to the Mike Malloy article because as uncited and potentially inflammatory, they violate Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living people.

Furthermore, adding "NOW defunked [sic]" and a link to the Rush Limbaugh page are unambiguous examples of non-neutral point of view editing. Please see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view for a discussion of NPOV editing on Wikipedia.

I hope you'll keep these guidelines in mind and become a constructive editor of the encyclopedia, including articles on grumpy pinkos like Mike Malloy. Debivort 20:12, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's important that this "ENCYCLOPEDIA' not be without its corrections and clarity. Mr. Malloy sent me a threatening e-mail with nasty and severe profanity because I simply disagreed with him. No more. No less. I forwarded this e-mail on to management at WLS on a Friday Morning and he was terminated that afternoon. So my editing on Mike Malloy's profile is not without merit nor witness.
The information that he was terminated because WLS had purged left-leaning talk show host is Mr. Malloy's is an attempt by Mr. Malloy to cover up the real reason why he was terminated. Although my information could be construed to be inflammatory, however, it is to be understood that this website is not be used for strictly propaganda and self promotional purposes but it is to be used for the purpose of educating the public. For Mr. Malloy to write this also is to be noted that there are no witness' that he was terminated because of his leftist opinions. I think it would be important for the reader to decide who is right.
My information that I write will stand.
Please cite a source for this info (the e-mail transcript). Other than that please don't write your rationale for the edit on the main page. Do that on the talk page. Further attempts at adding this without citation and writing commentary on the article page will be seen as vandalism. Also you are on the verge of violating WP:3RR. One more revert and you will be reported. Gdo01 22:47, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You are clearly confused. You do have NOT the final say in this matter and you this matter is not over. If Mr. Malloy wants to misled the public in this matter then I believe I have a duty and the right to clarify his duplicity.
You have been reported for violating WP:3RR. You can state your case here. Gdo01 23:29, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello Capsource1 - thank you for starting to address our concerns on the talk page, and here. However, there are several remaining problems with your edits that mean they need to be removed, as I have done. 1) As a first hand experience, your interaction with Mr. Malloy constitutes original research. 2) As such, it is unverifiable. 3) You writing tone is inappropriate for a biography of a living person. Any one of these reasons is sufficient to revert your edits. Debivort 01:01, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Until there is a decision then my insert is not to be removed.
  • What decides the content of an article is community consensus, not your will. You have violated this consensus by reverting the article 5 times. This is also a violation of Wikipedia policy. My actions are constrained by this rule, and as such, I will not revert these edits, as I have reached my 3 reverts. I hope someone else will though. Debivort 01:01, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Additionally, please start signing your edits to talk pages by placing four tildes: "~~~~" after your comments. Debivort 01:01, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User notice: temporary 3RR block[edit]

<capsource1@comcast.net> is a very vituperative, nasty individual given to playing internet troll with snide remarks and a great deal of profanity in his emails and message boards. He has been known to find internet users' telephone numbers and make harassing threatening telephone calls to their workplaces and residences. Bewave of this individual!!

Regarding reversions[1] made on October 23 2006 to Mike_Malloy [edit]

You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future.
The duration of the block is 24 hours. William M. Connolley 09:17, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had to revert your addition of the personal message, even though I'm sure it was heartfelt. An encyclopedia article is supposed to be uninvolved, rather than describing the editor's personal experience.AnonEMouse (squeak) 17:08, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
