1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

you dont understand i cant do that i edit wikipedia on my nintendo 3DS and there is no cursor and there is no visual editing and i do type four tildes but I dont know how to do it correctly because a nintendo 3DS cant do stuff that computers and tablets can do! Orville1974^talk 16:51, 25 June 2019 (UTC) that was an accident I thought I was submitting my request and i didnt know the text would be that big what happened was i saw that it said in the source edit "that name is already taken please choose another one" and i thought that message was for me but it wasnt and the edit box was full so i thought "thats full let me try to communicate with them in the edit summary" (i thought it was the edit summary but it wasnt and i thought it would be in normal size text but it wasnt) and I did text a long reason why i should get my name changed to glitchy so i thought the edit box was full because of my long reason but it wasnt and then i pressed submit changes, and i thought i was submitting my request.
