This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of SS Dunraven, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.oceanzonedivers.com/wrecks/egypt/dunraven_fin.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Hi. Can you add more to your addition on the mandala article? I'm asking people to avoid just adding references to mandalas (as an exhaustive list of usages) but also expound what kind of usage it is and how that differs from or relates to the usages of mandala that are described already in the article. Could you add to that? Thanks! - Owlmonkey (talk) 20:30, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree Image:Shipston LogoSmall.jpg[edit]

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Shipston LogoSmall.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 14:49, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is it unlikely that I'm alowed to tuse the image? I am on the managment commitee of Shipston RFC. We own the copyright and I have the ability to decide where to use it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cardibling (talkcontribs) 15:47, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You need to verify that you are granting permission for anyone to use this image commercially, and to make derivative works from it, by sending an email saying so to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Please quote the image name (Image:Shipston LogoSmall.jpg) in your email. Stifle (talk) 15:51, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All done, thanks for the explaination hopefully it'll all work ok now. Let me know if I need to do anything else to get the content approved. ( Cardibling (talk) 15:58, 5 September 2008 (UTC) )[reply]
There's a lot of mails to that address, but in the next day or two the team there will check that everything's in order and leave a tag on the image to confirm the permission. If there's any problem, they'll reply to you. Stifle (talk) 21:02, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sign your comments[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! Stifle (talk) 15:52, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shipston-on-Stour Rugby Football Club[edit]

I deleted the logo because it was a copyright violation. It was not marked as non-free content but as being in the public domain. Besides, it look like the original uploader's own interpretation of the logo. I have no objection to a new upload of the logo providing it passes all of the Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria. Garion96 (talk) 20:26, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What does non-free content mean? The Wasps Logo as I mention in my first question is copyrighted but thats on wikipedia. What do I need to do to get the shipston one in the article? I created the page so its not my interpretation as I used a copy of the original image I have on my computer? Cardibling (talk) 09:20, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Non-free content. Basically everything not under a free content license or in the public domain. You uploaded the image and stated that you released it under the gfdl. That however you can't do, you might have re made the image yourself, but the copyright of the image belongs to the Shipston-on-Stour Rugby Football Club. See also the Wasps example you mentioned at Image:London wasps badge.png. Garion96 (talk) 20:31, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think I see! If I'll reload the page following the Wasps image format then it should be ok? The image does belong to Shipston Rugby Club but I'm on the board of the club and can allocate the use of its property where I see fit...Cardibling (talk) 10:03, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok, then you are entitled to release the image under the GFDL. But beware of all it contains. If you upload it fair use (non-free content) and the image meets all the criteria of wikipedia:non-free content criteria it should be ok. Garion96 (talk) 21:36, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Midlands 5 West (SW). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Midlands 5 West (South). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Midlands 5 West (South) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Gbawden (talk) 09:26, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article William N. Rhodes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No claim of notability. Being shot down does not make him notable. Possible BLP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
