Welcome!

GOODBYE Carolineateyefi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

The recent edit you made to Eye-Fi constitues advertising and has been reverted. Wikipedia is not an advertising channel or a phone book. If you have any further clarifications, feel free to contact me via my talk page [preferred].
I know that you are from the makers of the product in question, but this is NO way to promote your product.

Eye-Fi[edit]

Hello again.
I would like to know if you own an Eye-Fi product, or if you have access to them.
If you do, I would like to ask if it is possible to upload an image of it to Wikipedia.
Regards,

Uploading to wikipedia[edit]

To upload an image, all you need to do is click on Upload File in the Toolbox section on the left hand bottom side of the page. Then choose the appropriate type for the image and you will have a box for uploading. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:08, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading to wikipedia - can't[edit]

Hey there, sorry it took me a while to come back. I've tried uploading but I'm not a confirmed user. You can download an image from www.eye.fi/news/media That's our media kit, from which you can download product images. I'd prefer using the latest product, the pro card, to represent our products.

Also a suggestion on content. There are camera partners which have integrated Eye-Fi technology into their cameras. The camera save more battery power, and also display an icon when the photos and videos are uploading. Do you think this is worth mentioning? Link to the info: http://www.eye.fi/overview/featured-cameras/

Another feature available is notifications using email, text messaging and twitter. Do you think that's worth mentioning? Info on that: www.eye.fi/cards/share_video.html and more specifically at http://www.eye.fi/news/2008/10/09/twitter-notifications/ and http://support.eye.fi/general/how-to-set-up-notifications/

Last bit of info which seems to be missing: configuration of wireless networks, upload destinations, etc are set through http://manager.eye.fi. You don't have to download software to use the card, but unless you register it and assign wireless networks, upload destinations (including album, tags, descriptions, etc), geotagging and/or hotspot, the card won't do it. Again, not sure if you want to include that info.

You'll need to have around 10 edits in order to be able to upload [I Think]. Try editing a bit of the article, try NOT to make it look like an advert adn that's it.. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 09:44, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
