Pseudoscience[edit]

Welcome to wikipedia. Recently you made edits to Jeremy Dunning-Davies and Myron Evans. In the former article you included unsourced information about a medal awarded by a non-recognized institution. In the second article you removed all references to pseudoscience, removed various links, and alterered verifiable information. You described your edits as minor edits, yet you quadrupled the length of the article, adding unsourced and false information. If you continue editing wikipedia in this way you are likely to be blocked from editing. Mathsci (talk) 06:43, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you continue removinig sourced information which satisfies WP:V and WP:RS you will be blocked/banned from editing. Mathsci (talk) 06:51, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Glyn Eithrym[edit]

A tag has been placed on Glyn Eithrym requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. FlyingToaster (talk) 07:10, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2008[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Myron Evans, you will be blocked from editing. FlyingToaster (talk) 08:19, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

In this edit summary [1], you claimed to be Myron Evans. Please do not edit your own biography on wikipedia, as there is an obvious conflict of interest. Many thanks, Mathsci (talk) 08:24, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Carrot18. I just wanted to give a few more details on what Mathsci posted. The reason your edits are being reverted is that the information in Wikipedia is governed by what is notable, what can be verified, and what is written with a neutral point of view. While much of your information may be correct, if it doesn't pass through those filters it will probably be reverted. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia rather than personal information page, which is why we encourage people to not write the articles for themselves or their friends, which would be a conflict of interest. Please don't try to rewrite this article under a slightly different title, as those edits will be reverted too. Thanks very much for your understanding, and please let me know here or in my talk page if you need any help. -FlyingToaster (talk) 08:27, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(noindent) MWE has posted this on his blog:

Recently my Marquis entry was posted on Wikipedia, and removed my a so called moderator, a pure mathematician who knows nothing about my work and is blatantly biased. The entry consisted of exactly the same information as my many Marquis entries. Marquis is the leading reference vehicle in the world. My wikipedia entry also contained a detailed account of my armorial bearings awarded by the British Government on 7th July 2008. These were also removed and this is grossly offensive to the British Government. I noted that the new entry mentioned the award of the TGA Gold medal in 2008, but the moderator asserted that TGA is not “a recognized institution”. This is blatantly false, TGA is legally registered. At present the Wikipedia entry on myself is grossly defamatory, it is offensive and misleading. Many have tried to put this right. All the new entries on wikipedia were verifiable, and completely in line with wikipedia policy, for example a list of my numerous fellowships, awards, publications, honors, nominations and high honors, but these were all removed in a completely arbitrary way. For my true CV see this site and about 25 editions of Marquis.

The reference to "recognized institution" was in the edit summary for the article on Jeremy Dunning-Davies that Carrot18 edited, Mathsci (talk) 09:40, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
