Speedy deletion of Carly The Mom
[edit]A tag has been placed on Carly The Mom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TN‑X-Man 17:48, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Carly The Mom, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. TN‑X-Man 18:43, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Carly The Mom
[edit]A tag has been placed on Carly The Mom, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Creation of hoax articles
[edit]I'm not sure what your purpose is with the fictional article currently hosted on your userpage or with the fictional articles you have been creating in support of it, Carly The Mom and Kassandra Livingston, but I must advise you that creating blatant hoaxes on Wikipedia is regarded as vandalism and may lead to your account being blocked. Please discuss this situation here rather than continuing to create these articles. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:51, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Kristybg3 png.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Kristybg3 png.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. TN‑X-Man 19:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Your user page
[edit]Hi, Cassidy. While the most important part of our conversation on my talk page dealt with creating articles that don't conform to our policies and guidelines, I did also point you to a link to our guideline on user pages. I'm afraid that what you are doing with your userpage also is not within policies and guidelines. Some important points to note from that guideline: "Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal homepage. Your page is about you as a Wikipedian." As the policy page on "What Wikipedia is not" notes, " Wikipedians have their own user pages, but they may be used only to present information relevant to working on the encyclopedia. If you are looking to make a personal webpage or blog or to post your resume, please make use of one of the many free providers on the Internet or any hosting included with your Internet account." You should consider moving your userpage to another site that does host this kind of material, as I'm afraid it may not remain here long. If we can't come to an understanding about it, I will eventually have to bring it up for discussion with other contributors at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion, at which point it may, like your articles, be deleted. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:56, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Have you tried Wiki Fiction? I'm not sure exactly what their policies are, but they do at least seem to be open to original stories. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:00, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- The Wiki doesn't work? I'll give it a shot to see if I can figure out why not. Otherwise, I'll look around to see if I can find a place that might host this for you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:04, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Can you reach this link? here. I created an account under your username and copied the material there to see if it would work. Again, I'm not sure about their policies and the Wikipedia templates don't work there, but they do seem to accept fictional material. I can easily give you the log-in information if you can reach the page. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:07, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Okay. The username, obviously, is Cassidy011. The password is ********* You probably ought to change it soon, since it's out here in the open now. Let me know if you have any trouble with log-in, and I'll see if I can help. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:28, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

- And again. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:34, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, Cassidy. I've got a wording for bringing it up to "materials for deletion". I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at my talk page and let me know if I've understood what you're doing here and what your objection is to Wikia. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, Cassidy. It's up and running at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Cassidy011. If it should turn out that consensus is to delete the article, we'll be sure to transfer any updates you've done to Wikia before that happens. As an administrator, I have access to deleted material, so I can help you make sure you recover it so that you can host it somewhere. If you have any questions about anything anybody should say in that discussion, please ask. Sometimes long-time Wikipedians refer to policies and guidelines with initials or abbreviations, and it can be hard for people who aren't used to them to follow them. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:50, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:03, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
