Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have an undisclosed financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future. GeneralNotability (talk) 00:05, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My reason for being blocked was suspected undisclosed paid editing. I will explain my relationship to the subject here for review. I am an employee of Denison Yachting, a yacht brokerage. My first ten edits were only on boat brands in which I am familiar with and knew that the information on those pages were not up to date. Then I started the process of creating a page for Broward Marine. Broward Marine is another boat builder, which is no longer in business. However, it was a major boat builder at the time. I am not related to Broward Marine. Broward Marine was founded by Frank Denison, who is the grandfather of Bob Denison, the founder of Denison Yachting, the company that employs me. I did not mention Denison Yachting in the history of Broward Marine, as they are unrelated companies - Broward Marine went out of business before Denison Yachting began. If someone can inform me of the proper way to disclose this, I will be happy to do so. Thank you! CassidyDYS (talk) 9:42 am, 4 August 2020, Tuesday (13 days ago) (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

Denison123 intended to make the same article you made when they were blocked. Seems like there's a clear effort here to create an article on this company through either sockpuppetry or meatpuppetry, neither of which are allowed on Wikipedia. only (talk) 15:09, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You started editing just a few days after Denison123 was blocked. This user seems to write very similarly to you, shares interests, and has a name similar to your employer. Was this your account? SQLQuery me! 14:48, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This was not my account. Both my account and that account were from Denison Yachting, but I was not that user. The reason for the shared interests would be that we both made edits on marine industry pages. (CassidyDYS (talk) 15:03, 11 August 2020 (UTC))[reply]
