removing posts from an RfA

It's not ok to just remove non-vandalism comments from an RfA, the posts should be moved to the RfA talk page. The thing that may require admin attention is the fact that Promethean forced me to post that issue at AN by removing my inquiry from his talk page as "trolling". What's more, following that, he has now accused me of "drama mongering" at the AN thread. He should at least be told to be much more careful in the future and to respond to good-faithed and justified inquiries not by removing them as "trolling". Everyme 15:35, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, a comment was in the process of being saved. Caulde 15:35, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind things like this. Everyme 16:05, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am assessing. Caulde 16:24, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh well, seems resolved as far as I'm concerned. I'm just glad that it's not just me. Everyme 18:47, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Im reconsidering not backing down on this. Due to the trolling edit summery being much of the argument here it is [1]. Telling me how i should have my userspages setup when i'm most happy with it, imho is trolling. After my Undo of his notice then he posted AN notice, coupled with another attempt [2]. My drama mongering statement was directed at the thread itself as AN or ANI threads have a tendency to grow drama.   «l| Ψrometheăn ™|l»  (talk) 03:02, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, that's often true. But it's not a systematic problem but rather one of the participants, or the way some participate. I've actually seen a few threads were things got resolved in a very cooperative and efficient way. Everyme 03:41, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • On a completely unrelated note, Caulde, I didn't at first realise that you had your account renamed. And how does the magic with the "Just some notes" thingie work? Everyme 03:41, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes, that's me. Hacking into your wikipedia, as Prom so eloquently puts it below. Its a mediawiki code thingy-majig. I'll give the heads up if you reply. Caulde 15:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do a template for it, and I'll add it to your talkpage preload. Caulde 17:51, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Does it have to be in template space, or can it be a subpage of my userspace? Everyme 18:21, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
User:Everyme/s Everyme 18:26, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! But let me get this straight: All it takes is a user talk subpage /Editnotice ? Seems I gotta spend a lot more time around meta and siphon off more of such gadgets, if just for the heck of it. Everyme 18:35, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for eavesdropping but I thought alert should be given to another conversation about this editor. I have brought concerns about this user to the attention of admin East718.( conversation here ). Admin East718 is very familiar with BBHS and his checkered Wiki-history. I felt the possibility of a user with a long history of edit warring and block evasion having a drawer of sock accounts at his fingertips was, sooner or later, going to be a concern. BBHS 'fessed up to the use of the numerous accounts and I can AGF that his claim that it was simply forgetting to log out of one language Wiki into EN-Wiki under the name he is known by here. But it isn't just one account it is at least 2 (along with numerous anon IP edits) and the fact that he seems to switch from one to another for different purposes while on English Wikipedia... the AGF is extremely thin. This may not bear weight on this discussion. But I felt you should know about the other ongoing discussion as both are current... and about the same subject. Have a nice day! 2. to put the first letter of both your current and requested name in upper case...because if they don't it causes problems with the rename process

Re: Feminism portal

No problem. Too bad Gimmetrow took down the bot's function over FPO, otherwise our job would have been much easier. OhanaUnitedTalk page

Sorry to break this news to you. It's actually because of you (see User talk:Caulde/Archive/26#Closing featured portals nomination. You duplicated the task of the bot so the bot owner (Gimmetrow) has to go back and clean up the mess. He's probably pissed for loss productivity and removed the function after that incident. Basically Tocino continues in the same manner. In the last few weeks I've witnessed him attack users and repeatedly using article talk pages as a forum or soapbox for his political rantings. He's been asked a million times to stop such behavior, but to no effect. I have proposed his ban after noticing that even I, who rarely drop by at the talk page, was a target of his attacks, simply for reporting the need to update the article. See here. Regards, Húsönd 16:57, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
