Request for your opinion
[edit]Hey there! Could you please join this discussion in order to offer us your thoughts? I know that you are one of the few people interested in making the List of Avengers members article as accurate as possible, but there is a current disagreement about the Questionable section that I would appreciate your opinion on. Thanks! Fortdj33 (talk) 16:49, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]Hey, thanks for catching all my formatting typos, etc., over on the List of X-Men members page. It's easy to make 'em when you're editing so much stuff, eh? DeadpoolRP (talk) 23:16, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. This is a message to let you know that your username, "Cbigorgne", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that the following types of usernames are prohibited:
- Promotional usernames: Those which match the name of a company, organization, group, website or product (e.g. "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", "Foobar Museum of Art"). However, you are allowed to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally (e.g. "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "FoobarFan87").
- Usernames implying shared use: Those which directly imply shared access between people (e.g. "Jack and Jill's Account"), or match names of posts within groups or organizations (e.g. "Secretary of the XY Foundation").
- Misleading usernames: Those which contain suffixes like "bot" or "script" and imply an account is an automated bot when it is not, or titles like "admin" or "sysop" (implying a position of authority), or match names of living people that you are not, such as famous living people. If you are a famous person editing under your real name and your account is blocked from editing, please note that this is not to discourage you from editing, but rather to prevent any potentially damaging impersonation of you.
- Offensive usernames: Those which contain words or phrases that are likely to offend other contributors, directly threaten or attack another person or some entity, or contain contentious material about living persons.
- Disruptive usernames: Those which otherwise imply you do not intend to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia (e.g. "WannabeWikipediaVandal").
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, nor do we tolerate any other 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior, regardless of your username.
If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. PatGallacher (talk) 23:16, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 17
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mikhail Tal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bath (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Minor?
[edit]You reorganized the headers on World Chess Championship, that's not a "minor" edit. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 10:43, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
- HI @MaxBrowne2: I made two edits on this page : the first was reverting an edit that removed a header. The second was moving an image of Staunton and changing an header. I don't think that's a great reorganization. If you think that the former header was better, can revert my edit if you want.--Cbigorgne (talk) 15:09, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
- It's ok, just looking at the article in its current state the organization looks fine. MaxBrowne2 (talk) 20:33, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Special:WantedTemplates
[edit]Hi! Would it be possible for you to add
/* <nowiki> */
to the top and
/* </nowiki> */
to the bottom of User:Cbigorgne/common.js? By putting these tags inside of javascript comments, it won't impact the functionality of your script, but it will keep the backend software from transcluding Template:Projet:JavaScript/Script . You will know if the tags worked if Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Projet:JavaScript/Script no longer shows your javascript page. By fixing these, we can keep the number of entries in Special:WantedTemplates to a minimum. Thank you in advance for your help! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 23:36, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
Carlsen's first tournament
[edit]One can't go back and fix an edit summary, but it appears Carlsen's score in the tournament was +5 -4 =2, not +7 -2 =2! Bruce leverett (talk) 19:30, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
- You're right, I saw my error after I published my modification (+7 -2 =2 makes 8 points out of 11, not 6 points). It's strange, I saw there is at least an other tournament for which Agdestein gives a wrong result in the chapters of his book and gives the correct score at the end of the book (p. 189).
