A tag has been placed on Adopt-a-Furby.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Harry the Dog WOOF 16:38, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cdctmom1980. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for DuckDuckGo, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. I'm not sure what you were trying to do here: you tagged the article {{db-web}} but then contested deletion on the talk page. WP:CSD#A7 is a deliberately low bar, requiring only an credible assertion of importance, and "a major online resource for the academic field of linguistics... thousands of subscribers all over the world.. " is enough to pass it. Consider taking the article to AfD if you like, but IMO there is enough there for notability, and the large number of incoming links and the fact that the article has been around for years both suggest that it should be kept. Labour Party (UK)

[edit]

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Labour Party (UK), which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!
I have contested your proposed deletion of this article because I do not understand your rationale Uses the word "Lords". Proposed deletion is the way to suggest that an article is a candidate for uncontroversial deletion, as this is an article about a major UK political party I don't see how use of the word Lords makes it a candidate for deletion. I see you have just started using Twinkle. if this was a test of suing Twinkle please try and be careful about how you use it. NtheP (talk) 17:36, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
