Hi Corey! My name is Abby Sung, hope you have a nice day!

Welcome[edit]

Hello, Cdeclue7 and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! —PC-XT+ 08:37, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your sandbox looks like the beginnings of an interesting article! I noticed you were using a slash / instead of a bar | to separate parameters in your links and templates. The bar is the only character that will work for this. On my keyboard, the bar is found on the same key as the backslash \. I changed your sandbox to show what I mean, and removed the braces from the reference. If you want the reference templated, you may find Wikipedia:Training/For students/Citing sources 2 helpful. Also note that "File:2OFS.pdb" is blacklisted because it is considered too short, so you may need to use a different name when you upload it. I also restored the sandbox template at the top. Cheers! —PC-XT+ 09:42, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Possible topics[edit]

You sent me the following email, which I am copying to your talk page with links added so it will be easier for me to follow those links.Biolprof (talk) 04:55, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have found 5 potential projects for me to work on this semester, 2 of which are in my field and the other 3 are topics in developmental:
  1. Homing (hematopoiesis)
  2. Any Interleukin or cytokine article
  3. Gametogenesis
  4. Spermatogonium
  5. Acrosome
Let me know what you think of these and if I should look for others.

Follow up on topic ideas[edit]

User:Cdeclue7 - I think we may need to discuss your choices further. Of the topics selected, Homing (hematopoietic) is the stub that needs the most work and may be the best choice. However, I am unsure if this has relevance to the course topic. Gametogenesis is pretty weak, but oogenesis and spermatogenesis are strong articles; similar for acrosome vs acrosomal reaction. There are so many cyotkines and interleukins, that I am not sure how to think about that suggestion. If you can find one or more good review articles on a topic of interest that will serve as a starting place for your contribution, that would be very helpful. Let's talk. Cdeclue7 replied (on Piazza): I have decided that I would like to work on the article Hematopoietic stem cell niche and expand on how perivascular cells and endothelial cells are necessary to maintain this environment for HSC recycling. The article is essentially blank, and much information can be initiated from p.474-475 in the Gilbert textbook, then followed up by research into the scientific literature. Let me know if you think this more appropriate than my previous suggestions, and I will get started on it right away.

Course banner[edit]

Please add the course banner, as described in assignment 3, to the talk page of your article near the top, just under the other banners. Thank you. Biolprof (talk) 04:15, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. I see that it was there, just had a minor error which I corrected. Biolprof (talk) 04:57, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
