Hiya,

I noticed your edit to Death of Elijah McClain, and I have decided to revert it, since I believe the previous wording better suits the encyclopedic goals of that article. Wikipedia articles in general are not written with any sort of sentimental aim or content, the aim is always to create an encyclopedic presentation of even unpleasant facts, especially when an article concerns a death rather than the person as a whole, rather than e.g. to memorialise a person.

Additionally, the claims you added do not have a citation, which in general is discouraged but especially when they relate to living or recently deceased persons, due to concerns about libel.

If you have any further questions about this, you can message me on my talk page. Thanks, Ainlina(box)? 00:05, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya, changing it to not use an Infobox Person seems like a good idea - I'll do that this evening, in the style of the articles you pointed me to, I hadn't looked into how other articles do it, so that seems like a good idea. Thanks, Ainlina(box)? 13:37, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
