The Mickey Mouse Club
I am having trouble with an editor removing information of mine that is sourced and cited very well. They are telling me that an "uninterested" editor needs to publish the information, which makes no sense to me as an "uninterested" editor would have no reason to do so. Zachary Jaydon was a cast member on The Mickey Mouse Club, and I have cited numerous Official, Reliable, Non-Secondary Disney Publications that provide this information clearly. The editor keeps removing the information without taking the time to check the sources, which can be done if a small amount of effort is put into it. I believe that this goes against Wiki policy as well as a major lack of the assumption of good faith. Removing unsourced information is one thing, but when an editor takes the time to make an article more informative and accurate, it's very discouraging. Please help!

Thanks for this. That's really all anyone is asking, is for someone else to examine the source, and vouch that it supports what is being claimed. I understand why you feel like we are failing to assume good faith, but I hope that if you look over the edit history of the article and the two deletion discussions for Zachary Jaydon that you can see that most editors did assume good faith at first ... we just ran out of it. I would really encourage him to just e-mail the scans to all the editors that have reverted him in this latest round. I can understand if he doesn't want to communicate with User:Thegingerone. My article is being AfD again for a third time based on a supposed "hoax." I have sourced this article as well as I know how. I am researching, and submitting scans as I write this, but what I really need is some help. I find it insane that a single "user editable" blog based on an extreme hatred for Jaydon is causing such a ruckus. Please help!

The above article was created by User:JeanLatore who was, at the time of the article's creation, a banned user. According to the criteria for speedy deletion, articles created by banned users can be deleted provided that no other editor has made significant contributions to them. While reviewing this article's history, I noticed that you did make significant contributions to the article, so on the face of it it's not eligible for speedy deletion. I'd like to request your blessing to delete it anyway, however, since, after being blocked, JeanLatore posted a message suggesting that his article work may be error-ridden. In light of that, I think it would be best for the project that as many of his articles as possible be deleted. HAGGAR?
I have tried to understand an element of your response to my post at Wikipedia_talk:Abuse_filter/Archive_2. It is highlighted in bold in this quote:
- "If implemented correctly and with sufficient community oversight over the filters, the danger to content is minimal; as long as the community at large is there to watch over the filters, there isn't any harm in having them there, since the system is only designed to be used against very obvious vandalism with very specific MOs (i.e, HAGGAR). The danger isn't in the technical power of the extension, it is in what might happen if there aren't enough editors capable of watching over the system to make sure it doesn't get subverted."
Are you referring to Mike Haggar? If so, I am not a game player so I really have no idea what is the relevance. Otherwise, I may be revealing my ignorance of an earlier discussion. - No; I don't know who Mike Haggar is. One of the more problematic kinds of vandalism is where someone (or a group of people) move pages to unicode variants of the word "HAGGAR"; the original AF system was put in place to allow filters to deal with that kind of vandalism. - JeanLatore was a sock of Wiki brah. I had some run-ins with him in the past under the former name; I believe that he claimed to be suffering from aspergers, or autism, or something else that started with an 'A'. - Just go through their contributions. JeanLatore and Wiki_brah were the same person, but I never encountered him under the second name, because it had been banned before I was around. The second account was a SOCKPUPPET of the first, which surfaced later. Prior to his being discovered and banned with this post to his talkpage during an unrelated conduct block, I ran into him a few times at AfD, the ArbCom RFC, and a few other policy-related venues where he would support outlandish ideas. Looking at your Wiki user page, you seem helpful and also willing to help clean up articles that should not be considered for deletion when a simple change can save an article. I was wondering if your rationale was based on my answers to your questions, or things I said elsewhere? If it was the answer to your questions, I would be happy to clear up any misunderstandings, as I think my answers to the questions others asked show that I think policy should be firmly rooted in community consensus. In my view, the arbitration committee absolutely should not be imposing policy changes from above, and I would oppose that, while I would recognise that legal matters may need to be imposed by, say, bodies like the Wikimedia Foundation (copyright and libel issues, primarily), though even there I feel sensitivity to concerns within the community is needed. Closed proxy?
Hi - I was wondering if you could help in some way, with advice or with a closed proxy.
I am actually trying to edit another MediaWiki site - Appropedia (I'm a sysop there). Since I came to this somewhat isolated part of Guatemala, where the internet is by satellite, I haven't been able to stay logged in to Appropedia. I can with Wikipedia, Gmail, and every other site I'm logged into. We can't figure out what the problem is - and other people have no trouble logging in (those in the USA, anyway - not sure if this is a likely issue.)

Hi, I am now living in mainland, China. I want to apply an account to edit zh.wikipedia.org.
Recently, the China Communist Party is going to celebrate their 90's birthday. It seems that they make the policy of the Great Firewall much stricter. That makes me unable to read or edit my user talk page on zh.wikipedia.org as I can days before. I guess the reason is that my user talk page has some kind of sensitive information I contributed on.
I edited a little bit more than 2000 times on zh.wikipedia.org, which seems not eligible to apply an account. Still, I hope that you can do me a favor. A temporary account will be OK too. It is too frustrated that I can't do any thing when the system notice me that something is changed on the talk page.

I'm looking to revive the Wikipedia:WikiProject on closed proxies and I was wondering if you were still active and running your server listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject on closed proxies/List of servers, and if you would like to participate within the project itself!
