A certain magical index light novel

Um, Hello. Sorry about this editing, I think I really bothered you. I am really sorry. Um, about the number 3 edit, doesn't the list of best-selling light novels prove that this is the best-selling light novel? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfp5 (talkcontribs) 07:53, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

@Wolfp5 No worries, you must be new in editing so I would like to remind you that using the List of best-selling light novels article to justify your claim that A Certain Magical Index is the best-selling light novel of all time is an inappropriate source. Kindly refrain from doing an original research or synthesis a source that doesn't really say about your claim. Centcom08 (talk) 08:13, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

I see. Thank you and sorry again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfp5 (talkcontribs) 08:16, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

@Wolfp5 No worries! Happy editing, my friend! Centcom08 (talk) 08:27, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

Date A Live V

Sir, I dont have the references for this, but there IS a season 5 of the anime, Date A Live. They announced it at the end of the final episode of the fourth season. I don't understand why you kept removing the ones that are actually true. So please put my edits back. I'm not trying to hurt or annoy anyone. I'm only putting what is true. Please. JC1996 (talk) 16:08, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

@JC1996: Per WP:VERIFY, Even if you are sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it. If no independent, reliable sources have been reporting about this then WP:NORUSH. Wait for a source to be published before adding it to the article. Upon checking your talk page, it seems you have a habit of adding unsourced information (hence those previous warnings) and you will be banned from editing if you keep on doing that habit. Keep that in mind, my friend. Centcom08 (talk) 16:14, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
@Centcom08 So I guess this means I should wait and do nothing until someone can do it with an approval? JC1996 (talk) 16:17, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
@JC1996 Everyone can edit the article stating that there is a fifth season without approval, but it needs to have a source (if there is no source then it will be reverted). You are right to wait for a source that would confirm the production. You should feel responsible when adding information to the article, so that is why you should have a source backing up your claim (avoid doing original research). Centcom08 (talk) 16:22, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
@Centcom08 Alright then. Thanks for that. Some user on Wikipedia removed some parts I edit and called me a sock, but you're the only one who is kind and reasonable. JC1996 (talk) 16:27, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi there, i saw you've reverted my edits on the articles i mentioned above. Well, from what i read and have been doing Albums, Songs, and Soundtrack articles etc usually don't require any references, the album itself is considered the source for it. Now, i see that the album had 3 Discs and as the article is dedicated to each film, either of the article mentions only the Disc dedicated to it. That's understandable. But i don't understand the unnecessary need for the reference. In the end, it still remains a Soundtrack album, doesn't it? paperpseudonym (talk) 05:16, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi again, upon looking at the sources, again. I found the source provided for the reference is a commercial website. Well, it does provides significance for the album but if you look, it clearly offers you to stream/buy stuff via amazon etc. Now you must be aware, how Wikipedia says to avoid references to any Commercial/Digital websites?paperpseudonym (talk) 05:22, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
@Paperpseudonym I'm not sure what you are talking about, but the sources attached to the track listings are from the official website of the anime films. Centcom08 (talk) 05:26, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
@Paperpseudonym It is my responsibility to back up the claim of the song titles in the album which are listed in the article (WP:PROVEIT), hence the need for a source. If you believe that you have a guideline of why there should be no references for a track listing then kindly let me know. Otherwise, you are disregarding WP:VERIFY as one of the three core content policies of Wikipedia (WP:CCPOL). Centcom08 (talk) 05:23, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
Wait, it would seem i misunderstood something. But from what i've been told these music albums don't require any references as the album itself is considered the source for it. And if that's not true, could you please provide me with a link to the template of adding references in music articles' headlines?paperpseudonym (talk) 05:30, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
@Paperpseudonym Whatever you're adding in Wikipedia requires a source (I recommend you read what I just linked before: WP:VERIFY). Since you are new to editing, kindly read WP:REFBEGIN. But again, there is a WP:CONSENSUS so kindly start a discussion on the articles' talk pages to see what other editors might suggest. Centcom08 (talk) 05:37, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
I see, sorry if i caused you any trouble. Well, we learn something new everyday. As i'm unsure of this thing, I'll just avoid editing on adding/removing ref. from headlines and let others who know better look at it. Also, i'd like to ask you of something, you see, there seems to be a few articles... soundtrack articles... that i've edited, so if you would, please add the references if required. thank you! paperpseudonym (talk) 05:47, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi again, i see that you edit on music articles often, so i was having this query. You see, the above article, the original English title is actually simplified, that is, "Attack on Titan" (Original Soundtrack), however, the current one up on the articles is the translation that is quite not accurate and consistent. Would it be appropriate to simplify it? At the end of the day, the readers will understand it either ways. paperpseudonym (talk) 07:21, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

@Paperpseudonym I haven't touched that article so much better to raise a discussion on the article's talk page because it is important to reach a WP:CONSENSUS with other editors instead of just relying on my opinion (my opinion is to simplify the title per WP:COMMONNAME which supports that if a reliable source does say so then that should be it) For future references, every article has talk pages where you can start a discussion with other editors. Centcom08 (talk) 07:31, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
Oh okay, thank you for your help today.paperpseudonym (talk) 07:32, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

Hell0, the source I used for the Heaven burns red page is literally their official website. Is there a problem using the game's official website? BelphegorXin (talk) 22:58, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

@BelphegorXin As much as possible, Wikipedia uses independent sources in citing information (per WP:INDEPENDENT). The only time we use what is reported on the website is if no independent source reports it. Since Gematsu is a reliable, independent source that already justifies the claim, why is there a need to replace that? Centcom08 (talk) 23:03, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
gematsu only lists the voice actorises for Ruka Kayamori and Yuki Izumi. The official site lists all of the voice cast. BelphegorXin (talk) 23:06, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
@BelphegorXin Why do you need to cite a source that has all the voice actors in it if the article is all about Tomori Kusunoki? Gematsu already mentions Kusunoki as the voice of Ruka Kayamori so that is enough to support the information. Centcom08 (talk) 23:11, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
What about the other voice actors in the game then? BelphegorXin (talk) 23:19, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
@BelphegorXin I would like to remind you again that the article is all about Tomori Kusunoki so the other voice actors are not related to the said article. If you see other voice actors on the website you are trying to use then kindly add it to their article (much better an independent, reliable source would suffice). Centcom08 (talk) 23:22, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
But I edited the Heaven Burns Red page? I not talking about the Tomori Kusunoki page. BelphegorXin (talk) 23:24, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
Oh I see I didn't read what you wrote on my talk page properly. I thought you were talking about the Heaven Burns Red page and not the Tomori Kusunoki page. BelphegorXin (talk) 23:26, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
@BelphegorXin I did not touch the Heaven Burns Red article. Kindly check the edit history of Kusunoki and see that I reverted your edit on that article to keep the Gematsu source. About the official website source, then kindly use it on the Heaven Burns Red article since its all about the video game that warrants knowing the voice actors involved in the game. Centcom08 (talk) 23:27, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
Alright sorry for the misunderstanding. It was just that I was currently editing the Heaven Burns Red article so it was the only thing on my mind. BelphegorXin (talk) 23:34, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

The unknown word

Pretty sure “somany” is supposed to be “so many”, too unencyclopedic a phrase to keep anyway, but I figured the clarity was worth bringing. CreecregofLife (talk) 05:36, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

@CreecregofLife I see. I just realized it the moment the revert was done. Thank you for the heads up! Centcom08 (talk) 05:37, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
You’re very welcome! CreecregofLife (talk) 05:39, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Sorry I guess.

I thought it was a good addition to the page but I guess not! Oh well. GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 23:35, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
